If Andy shares his HGH with me, I can make a comeback and pitch!

Obviously the sacred cow "pitch count" is pure nonsense.
MLB has become a joke. It's time to redistribute their windfall profits among all Americans. |
I was happy when they got Marte, now I'm not so sure. Since he's been here he's pitched 4 2/3 innings and has given up 6 earned runs on 6 hits with 4 walks.
I think Joba will be fine, but it emphasizes our need to get another starter. Time is running out on us. This season could slip by us if we don't have a great August. Our schedule in September is brutal. |

50/50 to make the playoffs.

Awww, Joba got a boo-boo, waahhhhh!
Let's Go Mets! |

Oooooooo, this is all rather unfortunate. Too bad that Joba Rules babying stuff backfired. Really a shame. Oh well, time for breakfast.

Who will be the latest Yankees pitching hero?*shakes magic 8 ball* Carl Pavano!(' ;

Still in third with time winding down.
Tough schedule lies ahead. The party is over boys and girls. |
Thanks Hank. Your selfish decision to make Joba a starter may have just ended his career.

ever notice when the yankees are down in a game the highest paid player in the game never shows up-total waste in clutch

Throwin' at Youk's head?
Karma's a beeotch, babe. |

Guess this guy's an 8th inning guy after all. Now Girardi gets to be stuck with the same Joba rules I had!
Jeez, this Manny guy is more of a pain in the rump than Reggie Jackson... |
Give me a break!!! |
So is a prince of Mastic Beach sort of like a pimp with no girls to pimp out? |
Joba gives up a 3-run jack and starts to shake his arm like he is hurt. My 11 year-old little leaguer has more mental toughness than that. He'll be fine...but still has a lot of growin' up to do.

can't believe they take out p.i.m.p.p.

Another non-Yankee fan on a yankee message board - what losers. You are from the land of marys |
typical pseudo Yankee fan arrogance. You probably never heard of the Yankees before 1995. This is a Newsday baseball site, not a Yankee message board. |

The guy completed like one game thru the 7th. granted it was the Red Sox. But even in college, he never pitched into the 7th. In college, where they overuse their starters all the time. And before he became a reliever in the minors, he never pitched thru the 6th. Why don't these clowns in the media ever read his stats? THE INJURY has nothing to do with his pitch count. Even David Cone said it could very well be cramping from the 98 degree heat. His lack of controlling his pitches has EVERYTHING to do with the guy will never be a big time starter. Unless we want a 5 inning pitcher. He's built to be a reliever. Can all the dopes get off his bandwagon already just because he pitches in Yankee Stadium? What a farce!
Farnsy, didn't give up a run for his last 20+ innings as a Yankee.
But now we have Dumb-a$so serving up meatballs to put an end to our misery. Or how about Chamberlain as a starter? Boy, he gave us 4 innings last night. Kind of like a... reliever? |
