This three game series with the Rangers had lots of play that really resembled two little league teams going at it.

The ball that bounced off of Texas's second baseman, and then the right fielder comes in and alomost throws it into the stands when he threw home. All of the walks, my God.

I feel bad for the Indians, because unlike some years, they definitely do have the talent to win this division. The starting pitching is great.

I hope that they get things going pretty soon.

Wedge says "We're gonna have to make changes if this keeps up." What can he possibly change, unless he releases the guys who are obviously not playing well. Who wants players that can't even hit close to .250 and have big contracts?

We're stuck watching these everyday players that had career years last year, unless we trade our pitching with these overpaid scrubs and get a decent hitter.

What team would want Hafner, Delucci, Blake, Peralta, Marte, Carroll, Garko, or Gutierrez right now?

"I was waiting for so long
For a miracle to come
Everyone told me to be strong
Hold on and don't shed a tear

Through the darkness and good times
I knew I'd make it through
And the world thought I had it all
But I was waiting for you

I see a light in the sky
Oh, it's almost blinding me
I can't believe
I've been touched by an angel with love
Let the rain come down and wash away my tears
Let it fill my soul and drown my fears
Let it shatter the walls for a new, new sun
A new day has...come"

Yes, Ben had an error in the 10th, but once again only scoring ONE run is the reason the Tribe lost this great pitched game by CC.

The Cheap_A$$ed Dolans need to spend some money, make trades, and give up prospects to get a couple of proven hitters in the lineup NOW !!! The Indians will not win with this anemic lineup.

It's sad to watch these games on tv. You won't see me at another Inidans game until they do something.

Tribe philosophy: Develop young players. They have to stick to it. Here's what I'd do now.
Trade CC for the best deal Shap can get.
Aubrey-Garko first
Asdru, Barfield, Peralta in middle
Play Marte at 3rd for a straigt month. See what he can do (probably not much)
Chin, Gut, Fran, Grady outfield
Same catchers
Cut Delucci
Bring up Miller.
Shap and Wedge can't blame the players completely.
How would B. Phillips (given away), Kevin Kouzmanoff (traded for Barfield because we gave away Phillips), Ryan Ludwick (now tearing it up with Cardinals) and Brian Barton lost in Rule 5 draft, look with this pitching?
I think the boys released Ludwick so we have given away those 4 for Barfield. Now there is a deal!

I realize that most other teams are not thinking about making trades right now, but a fair number of the more affluent ones would make a deal for Sabathia in a heartbeat. Can the Indians survive without him? Of course, they can---there is no shortage of starting pitchers on their roster. Presumably, one of the players we would receive in a trade for Sabathia would be a young pitcher, so that shouldn't be a concern. We do need players who can swing a bat, preferably with power. There is just no point in wating much longer. The guys who are currently on the roster just aren't the answer. Shapiro just needs to make the best deal available to him.

Trade? Who's talking about trades? Historically, it has never worked for the Browns. Then we saw the Cavs trade away the entire starting lineup (minus Lebron, naturally), and for what?...to finish the season worse-off than the season before? Another textbook example of Northern Ohio's trademark "2 Steps Forward and 3 Steps Back Concept".

It's elementary thinking, really---YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. And when are we going to finally learn that you can't win championships when you routinely recruit other teams' tired rejects instead of going for proven winners??

Oh well, at least we have Buckeyes football to look forward to. One thing's for sure, they'll keep coming back until they get it right. And the rest of us will sit around on our thumbs and wonder why teams like the Red Sox, the NY Giants (THE GIANTS?!), and the SA Spurs get theirs.

I think I agree with nearly everything you said. I've been calling to play Marte everyday for some time now. But how can you cherry pick the moves of Phillips, Kouz, Barton and Ludwick? Ludwick? Nobody wanted him when they let him go. Be fair, if these are they only players we've let go that you want back, then our FO is doing awesome.

Hate to say it, but if they don't go on a 10-15 game win streak they are done for the season. As it is, I have pretty much given up all hope. Too much talent for such poor performance. Possible coaching change??

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Virgo

Unfortunately, this looks like being another difficult day, and, as Mars turns retrograde, certain people are quick to take offence or raise their voices. Make sure you aren't adding to the tension by doing or saying something that's provocative or even downright insulting. If you get involved in a shouting match it will be difficult to stop and you could say some nasty things in the heat of the moment.
