Hey, Wallace:

What's the matter? Can't write about the Mets unless they're doing lousy? Be fair about your column topics.

Hey Wally, I wish you where done for the season as well. We must have played two games tonight, the 12-4 win I watched and the 8-2 win that you watched. You're a doctor now?? How do you know Posada is done catching?? The guy has more heart then you'll ever have! You're a hack and I wish The Post would offer you $2.00 hr more then Newsday!

Why did Cash Man have to re-sign him, or Mo, or a couple others? It was painfully obvious the contracts were too big and way too long. His getting hurt this year, along with Hideki, was almost as predictable as Pedro and Moises for the Mets.
League has to do something about these albatross guaranteed contracts - somehow protect the health of the player, but also the long-term health of the franchise.

This is about what I wanted to say, long term guaranteed contracts to aging players is a joke - I don't care what they did in the past. You should get paid to work and produce and not sit around in the Florida sun collecting what amounts to huge welfare checks. And even if he does return he'll never be close to what he was.

A little over the top saying the Yankees are better off without Posada's bat in the lineup, he is a much better option at DH than our other choices. Posada can have the surgery, come back healthy and likely as a first baseman. He came up as a middle infielder and I'm sure a spring training working with Tino will help him learn footwork around the bag.

Huh? Mathews is the only one in America who thinks the Yanks need a left handed hitting outfielder.

Yanks need a righty bat.

He is saving his NY MESS column for the end of the season when the NY M UTS will make history again and collapse like a cheap camera like they did in 2007... The Greatest Choke in regular season history. Now. that something to write about.
