I was born in Boston and am a life long Red Sox fan, but was embarrassed to see the RS win this one. The Angels got screwed. I don't know what the umps were looking at.

I agree with Jerry about the umps. This isn't just baseball, it's even worse in hockey and basketball. I've been a sports fan from Detroit for over 50 years and it's gotten so bad for all sports I'm wondering if payoffs are actually controlling calls in certian games. Doesn't anyone monitor these people or if they do is there anything done? You never hear about any discipline by the leagues, they just sweep it under the carpet!

kidding me??? it was barley a strike and was a ball that was sinking... plenty of calls missed like that...wasn't like it was a blatenly blown call with a pitch right down the middle...try having the players on LA play with a little more heart... afraid to stretch out for a flyball??? look in the mirror at yaselves as there were 17 runs scored in that game

Fuentes is an idiot. After all, the pitch was outside, and that was that. One night later, he wins the game at Fenway with the same Umpire Crew.

Reason is that Los Angeles has been like the Yankees on spending tons of $$ for big name players, and getting lousy results when they meet up with the Red Sox. As Soscia, and Steinbrenner, they wimper, whine, and moan!

Just wow Rolling stone wow comparing The angels to the spanks spending money on what big name players? WOW we just let the spankee's take that load and are getting allmost the same production for a fraction of the price so your ignorant. The pitch didn't get called out side it got called LOW it was right down the center. And Sparky your stupid Hunter is the best center fielder in the game so shut up! But yeah there were bad calls and yeah i think the umps are affraid to make those calls in boston whatever thats the game so when the angels take them out this years with all those bad calls that win is just going to be that more sweet. Jerry I like that at least one man is really a man and i respect that.
