I don't have a problem with them. At least they've proven themselves in the major leagues. But it's ridiculous how Japs always come to the majors amid much hype and fall on their faces when they play in a real baseball league. Japs are so overrated.
Right. Ichiro is overrated. I think you are overrated.

He is. And so is Dice-K. These gooks come in with all this hype and fail in a real baseball league. And don't give me that WBC crap; it was a joke of a tournament because most of the real baseball players chose not to play in it. The gook countries were the only ones that actually tried. Let the gooks have that tournament; none of them can make it in the majors.

I wonder how many (asians) will make it to the hall of fame?

Manimal has been given a time out from the computer in our basement. He can come out to play, when he has been a good boy. Little Manimal destroyed our TV last night in a fit of rage after another Cubs loss.
I am sorry to deprive you nice folks from his lunatic kool-aid drinking irrational posts on the Cubs.
Several of us at Nada Nation had been worried about Manimal since some of his McVeigh-style rants during spring training...
He's been absent here and I think it's time to call the FBI again.

Randy Wells pitches like Jason Marquis's kid brudder. Got more of them down on the farm? The beauty is this organization is certified exceptional when it comes to developing promising into mediocre or worse - Hello Sean Marshall.
Dumpster, Lilly, Z-for-brains, Marshall? A whole bunch of pressure game losers.
I'm struggling to come up with a handle or this years' team which I will use next year, as this collection ain't gonna win more than 85 games if they are lucky.
Clearly, you have never seen an actual woman naked.
This crap isn't all that important.

Bradley is very difficult to like as a player. Emotional maturity of an infant.(Also, he and Harden are as physically fragile as a player can be.) But...gotta be fair and note that Bradley is hitting a lot of balls very hard lately but at people. They'll start dropping in. They better!!! He hits No. 3 or No. 4 in the order and has NINE RBI at the season's 1/4 mark!!!!!
If Bradley were white, he'd be known as a fiery gamer.
Since he's black, he's an angry malcontent ready to join Al Quaeda.

I would take Ryno back in any capacity - second baseman, manager, hitting coach, inspirational speaker -anything! Senile Lou doesn't know what to do. He negotiates batting order and sitting players through the media. What would it hurt to play the young, hustling, eager players today instead of subjecting us to watching D.P. Lee and Milton Bradley again? I suppose it is safer for Lou to play the overpaid veterans and lose 3-1 again.
Now THIS is funny!
Ryno as an inspirational speaker????
He's be as inspiring as Ozzie Osbourne after 15 Heinekens.

Don't worry, he'll collapse like he always does. The Japanese are an embarassment to baseball, and the sooner we get rid of his people from the Cubs, the better.
And I'd bet you drive a Toyota.

I completely agree. Give Jake and Micah some ABs. Make that many.
In case you haven't noticed, Micah has been getting at bats, and since being inserted as a starter 3 games ago he is one for 12 with 6 strikeouts and his average has dropped from .314 to .280. I said some time ago if Micah was a starter he would hit .250 and strikeout 150 times, and I stand by that.

I am not trying to 'dis him. He can be a great asset in the proper role, which is not as a starter. I think the start Micah crowd must be the same folks who think Ben Gordon is a starting Guard.

I don't think Micah is quite as selfish as Gordon, though.

Unfortunately with Bush starting the wrong war at the wrong time in Iraq, most Illinois national guard have been deployed 2-3 times or more and Obama is in no hurry to bring them back. Manimal will attack while we are in this weakened state and probably suceed. Maybe if the Cubs can win a few, stem the tide and give Pat Quinn time to come up with a contingency plan. Blago always looked the other way, at over the top Cubs fans, him being one of them.

This just in from WGN...
Barely Minimal (Manimal) has been spotted outside of Wrigley Field early this morning with a can of lighter fluid and matches...
He was with another companion. Several witnesses named Northside Neumann as Manimal's companion...
You Cub fans had better get over to Wrigley now and save your ballpark...

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Leo

You'll be action-oriented today, Leo. If truth be told, intense physical activity has the ability to soothe you much more than frenzied mental exercise. Invitations to madness are the wrong thing for you, but they are tempting nonetheless. Dig in your heels and do what you know you have to do. When driving this evening, take extra care.
