Tigers' 1B Miguel Cabrera Strikes Out With His Wife

Full story: snafu-ed.blogspot.com

Miguel Cabrera really needs to remember that Detroit still has a playoff game, before getting himself arrested. Detroit plays Minnesota on Tuesday in a one-game playoff, and fortunately for him, he hasn't been charged after a fight with his wife, Rosangel Cabrera.

Miguel "Cabron" and his wife?!!! Who TF cares? Unless you are athletic or active as a ref or coach, put sports in it's proper perspective. The old communist saw about religion being the opium of the people is not far off the mark when it comes to describing sports. Sport is no different than ancient roman spectacles in the arena, designed to keep the attention of a generally uneducated populace from the more important things affecting their existence. Whatever happens from year to year in the Sport Wonderworld has nothing to do with how much money is in your pocket, how much personal freedom you have, or whether or not your son or daughter will be sent to fight in a war. I suppose it's ok to follow your favorite team, but not to the extent of being a 300 pounder glued with remote to the TV. Fantasy leagues and betting? What total time wasting horseshite...

Why aren't more white and black American players signed instead of these Latin players? For every one of them, there are probably ten white players awaiting their chance to play. Professional baseball is getting too many japanese and latin players to come over and play. All these players is send lots of money back to their native country. Most are averfage anyway. Lots of black players could easily take their place, just like lots of white players. It was clear this incident with Cabrera affected his play. These guys aren't like the players of old, Clemente's, Aparicio's, Sanguillen's, all the rest too numerous to mention. Hot tempered, self-centered, egotistical players as this is what blew the season for these Tigers. Bring back some sanity when signing ball players, who want to play and win, and can keep personal issues from affecting the team. Congratulations Tigers! You did it again. I am not a prejudice person. I just think the white or black playerts is getting screwed when an organization signs so many japanese, or latin players thinking they are superior to whites or blacks.

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Aries

There is minor evil around today, whether it is harsh words or actions. Relationships with non spiritual people will tend to be abrasive, as you come to understand that such people can never be trusted, for their agenda is not love. Beware of criticism from colleagues or friends. Avoid being narrow minded and confining your views to the conventional. You may want to argue with everyone and everything, but beware of devouring your own energy in the process.
