I was afraid that this might be how the Indians might get started this year. I spent two weeks in Goodyear, my first spring training. I have worked in sports as an official since the 50's (division I in two sports and am still employed as a replay official and a scout for a professional league. What I saw in Goodyear was a team that looked "disconnected". There was no emotional level at all, they appeared in some ways disinterested and Wedges relationship and response seemed uninterested as well. They got used to not winning and accepting weak performance. Not sure that he can get them back. There appears to be a lot of talent but they are not mentally ready. Thats the managers fault!!
