Don't blame Fredi, blame Loria and Samson. This is what you get for the lousy $26.7 MM payroll. No depth to deal with all the players on the DL and no pipeline in the minors since we have them in the big leagues already.

Get us an owner willing to spend at least $50 MM and then we can talk of getting rid of the Manager if this happens

No only does the offense stink, defense continues to be a problem as well. Would the guy who taught Jeremy Hemeda his sliding, 3 stooges like non-catch that looks like a circus act gone bad, please tell him to STOP. It's one for the worst plays book. And the guys does it over and over again. With nothing on the line and pride a foreign object to everyone on this team, expect this ongoing fiasco to continue until the season mercifully ends while Luria and Company trot to the bank with their revenue sharing purse.

Hug-a-Sheik: When you start seeing Wallace Stevens or John Ashberry poems here, then you'll know it's really out of hand.

Stanthefan: the offense really doesn't stink. They're up in the top three or four teams in the majors in home runs, and right up in the high middle for total offense. They score enough runs so that, on a team with infielders who can catch a ball and throw it accurately to a guy who can also catch it, they should be able to win more games than they lose. The problem, aside from the obvious one of the injuries to the pitching staff, is that they don't execute in the field. They are statistically the worst fielding team in baseball, and aside from the (at least) dozen and a half defeats this year where the margin of loss was one or more unearned runs, they don't make it to ground and fly balls that they should get to but that get scored as hits and so don't show up in the statistics. Moreover, their baserunning has been awful too. The third base coach has been acting like a sacrificial high priest, feeding baserunners the the Moloch in a catcher's mask waiting for them at home plate with the baseball. It seems like every Marlin who tries to score on a close play gets nailed.

Underlying all of this, guys with a year in the majors are out there playing like they're busy daydreaming about their option year. Whatever it is they're thinking about, it doesn't seem to be the game. Uggla's famous two-out double play the other day - well, that's just an example.

Do I blame the manager? Well, yes, to some degree. But these guys just don't look like they're paying attention. It's an attitude I suspect they've merely inherited from their ownership.

Will the Billy Buckners of Boston ever win anything again or was 2004 just a ONE TIME WONDA fluke!

"B" stands for Billy Buckners of Boston! FOREVER Fluke Sox.

They traded Babe Ruth to YANKEES.

1986 World Series METS WIN! METS WIN! over the Billy Buckners of Boston.

After the Buckner play in Game 6, the Mets went on to BLOW OUT the Stink Sox in Game 7 at SHEA STADIUM.

Count on Fredi coming back because he works cheap and has licked Beinfest's boots clean as can be. He can't manage a lick and doesn't have a clue about baseball, but Beinfest will continue to be very very good to him. Wait until next September when they are playing on a field that is home to 2 football teams. Dontrelle is gone and knows it with Miggy and Hanley soon to follow because this cheap screw won't pay and is bleeding this organization dry. This franchise is a joke. NOT 1 SINGLE TAX DOLLAR FOR A STADIUM FOR THIS GROUP!!!!

Who Wants to be a manager for Loria? When Beinfast leaves maybe Samson will be the GM. They are the Montreal Expos act 2. Same owners. Soon the Marlins will have no TV contact as the Expos did. Also maybe there will be no enlish speaking radio like the expos did. Great Marlin beat writers they are all feeble in their writing. Tell it the way it is about this owner. He bought this team with 0 down. Loria has o dollars to put up for a stadium. Good luck in finding one the clock is ticking..........

Loria & Samson are an F'in joke. MLB should start forcing these guys to put the revenue sharing money they get back into the team or towards a stadium instead of into their pockets. They always cry poor and blame the fans but they are pocketing huge amounts of cash they could use for player payroll. Enough already! I'm not much of baseball fan but these guys disgust me!

NIce to see Hermida healthy and finally rounding into form. What's been different about his approach now that he's finding some success at the plate?

Would love some local Marllins fans' input & observations...thanks.
