The bullpen is definitely a work in progress but perhaps the Marlins are looking for another option at the closer position beyond Lindstrom.

In any case, I think Nunez & Calero have shown some improvement over the right handed options the Marlins have had the last two seasons but I remain concerned about the left handers.

If they can get him cheap then why not take a shot with him.

Not for nothing...but Matt Lindstrom isn't the answer as a closer.

This guy doesn't sound too good, but maybe with the right pitching coach?

How about keeping good relievers when you get one. If you want to see good Marlin players look at the benches of t=other teams because that's where they will go.

What about spending some money for a good closer & a good reliever now that you got the tax payers to pay for your new stadium? Lindstrom is not a closer. Don't try to push this guy as a closer. We're not stupid and we know about baseball. You don't give a closer role to a player. They have to earn it. Lindstrom is the same version as Greegg, Alfonseca, and Looper. It's frustrating to see these guys trying to close a game. Ever time the come up in the 9th leading by one ot two runs, I go through a six packs of beer in frustration.

Who the hell is Morillo? This is another guy that can't make to the bigs and the Marlins are the only team interested on him. Let's get a major league experience set up man and put Calero as a closer. At least he cam pitch and has major league experience.
How many games are we going to lose before fat Freddy place Lindstrom back to been a set up pitcher & not a closer?

The fact that Freddi didn't go to his "closer" yesterday tells you how he feels about Lindstrom. This will be "closer by commitee" until someone steps up and shows he can go out and shut the opponent down on a consistent basis. I think we will need to ride the starters an inning or two longer to preserve leads this year. Hopefully Freddi doesn't do what he did last year and roll the same guy (Gregg) out there to blow game after game.

Marlins should forget the word "Closer" anybody of their bullpen can throw the 9th inning like 7th or eight the others don't rush one player to this roll; it is the best
