that was the second time marte blew a lead with long balls. is he replacing farnsworth's role? damn!! is this a joke? nady getting the lead back and marte blowing it??

why would girardi leave a lefthander to face a righthander when there is already a righthander on bullpen? reminds of that game in boston when he let betemit bat, when there is sexson that he can pinch hit to get a win.. WTF!!!

This "lefty specialist" is an f'ing joke thus far. A bases clearing double vs. the O's and now this?? I mean, c'mon man...I shut this game off thinking it was over. I should know better. This is what concerns me about The inconsistency; they CONSTANTLY have a tough time with .500 or worse teams. If they can bounce back tonight, I'll feel A LITTLE better about it.

Marte had walked the bases loaded and had thrown 40+ pitches.

Why didn't Robertson come in? I don't get it.

Thanks Hank. Your selfish decision to make Joba a starter may have ended his career.

FYI..Joba was starter his whole life up until about a year ago. It's not like the Yankees asked him to do something out of the ordinary.

Hey bone head, I said "may' have ended his career. Shoulder pain in the throwing arm is typically a sign of a more serious situation. The point is Joba should have remained a 8th inning set up man not a starter.

Is it just me who thinks that Girardi has stunk as a manager in the last 2 games?? He left Ramirez in too long the other night and almost blew the game. Last night he left Martes in way too long and DID blow the game. To me, Girardi is making poor decisions as far as relief pitching and leaving them in after they are in obvious trouble.

Why? He was a starter in High School, then College, then in the minor leagues

Yeah, I'm sure it was such a risk to make such a drastic change.

Marte had serious control problems last night, but the pitches he did manage to get over the plate (with the obvious exception of the last pitch) looked good. Bottom line is, when a pitcher walks the bases loaded, its time to get someone in there that can at least throw strikes. Girardi blew this game.

I was a starting pitcher in high school also, moron. He's had shoulder problems in the past and he currently has one. Let's hope it's nothing. But if it is something, then he's not cut out to be a starter.

What does you being a starting pitcher in HS have to do with anything in regards to Joba?

you are such a loser... did you also score 4 touchdowns in a single game?

Texas is a jinx for young pitchers to begin with, but it's messed up Hughes Wang and Chamberlain but good.

Crappy state full of crappy teams.

Piss poor Umpiring, especially behind the plate seems to be the rule this season! Where's the consistant strike zone?
Don't think Joba's hurt, just rattled! He's still inexperianced and starts to wilt a bit under pressure. He's a good pitcher.but a little too much of a showman to suit me.Time will tell...As for Joe G; look at what he's done with what he's had to juggle! You could almost make a pennant winner by fielding the Yankees DL as a team! Too may high priced players seem awful fragile for the money that's being spent on 'em! I'm not sure Marte shoulda stayed in after the walks, but with Mo unavailable, whos gonna go in in that 9th inning situation? I think that when the "new"guys on the roster start to gel, this team will be right in the mix come October! Love Nady! C'mon Melky bring your bat to the next game!

That guy behind the plate last night was awful, for both sides. Consistently awful!

As far as who he should have brought it....Robertson wa warmed up. He could have given up that gofer ball too, but all you could hope for was strikes.

Ryder,I suppose you're right...Robertson could've come in and done no worse. What's your read on Joba?
