Neal Cotts got a reprieve, Jeff Samardzija got a promotion and Luis Vizcaino may get his walking papers on Thursday.

The Cubs have problems with the bullpen, do we have any pinch hitters off the bench. Second base is going to be a problem. Miles is a bust, Fontenot will be lucky to hit 250 if he plays everyday. I don't see this team running away with anythng. It looks to me like we have the same type of team we had the last two years. I hope I'm wrong. Bring on the Bears!!!!!!!!!!

Why doesn't Jim Hendry step up to the plate and admit he made a 30 million dollar mistake signing Milton Bradley. Bradley is the one who should get his walking papers and Micah H. should be playing everyday. This shows that the Marquis trade for Vizciano (since everyone thinks he is the odd-man out) was also a mistake. I know it is early in the season but Ramirez should bat fourth in this lineup and forget about Bradley making a positive impact. Get rid of him NOW!

Getting rid of Vizcaino doesn't make all that much sense to me. He's been in 4 games, pitched 3.2 inning, and only allowed two hits and no walks. On the flipside, Lou is playing "Rex is our quarterback" with 9th inning door opener (he's certainly no closer) Kevin Howr...I mean Gregg who has the highest ERA on the team. Gregg is the one who should be getting the walking papers.

the bull pen is a mess, but it wasnt great last year either, anyone remember bobbie howry? marmol looks to be the only effective pitcher right now. i like smardja, he did well last year. im looking forward to seeing him get some experience. the question is still out about bradley, theres only been what, like 15 games this season? give him a chance. as much as i really kerry wood, it was a good move not resigning him. what is wrong with gregg, i dont know? its the beginning of the season, it will get worked out. go cubs.

Guys, Bradley is going to hit, IMHO he should go on the DL if he still has groin issues, which it looks like he may have... I know he wants to be a tough guy and play through it, but it looks like the injury may still be impacting him.

On the negative side, I would like to see him pull up his pants so they don't go under his cleats. He just about tripped running to first base a couple of weeks ago! An fashion statement is not worth and injury buddy!

Why are we getting rid of Vizcaino??!! He is one of the only guys in the bullpen who comes in and throws strikes! Cotts, Guzman, and Heilman are consistently walking guys and blowing leads, and don't even get me started on Gregg.
And what the hell Lou? Bradley is hitting .045 on the season and you bat him 4th in the lineup??!! In place of a guy (Hoffpauer) who has been hitting lights out AND had a homerun the day before??!!
If this is how the whole season is going to be (bad personnel decisions and bad game management) then I quit!

Dumpd DeRosa for Bradley's salary and Miles--Dump Wood for ????? Even though he PUBLICLY OFFERED to take arbitration again!

They are dumping a pitcher who can pitch for one who can't!

We don't need to wait until September to realize Jim had a bad few months and we can only win DESPITE his offseason moves.
