Im with you Frankie. As a Mets fan we would have been lambasted for a deal like this. Imagine we traded Heilman for Jason Kendall. I mean that is what your getting an aging catcher for a guy in Farnsworth who has finally come into his own. You are now trusting the eighth inning to minor leaguers. This tells me that Ian Kennedy may be coming back to replace Joba and Kyle as the 8th inning guy. Can he handle it only time will tell but still this was a trade for the sake of trading that shouldn't been done. The way the reliever market is now at this time of year they could have dealt Kyle to the Rangers for Laird or Salty. I mean guys like David Weathers could have gotten Pudge. As a fan I think the Yankees got hosed on this one but they totally won the deal with the Pirates so I guess it evens out.
How can you compare Kendall to Rodriguez?

As a Yankee fan, I've never liked Farnsworth and labeled him Farnsworthless about 2 years ago. Ya just never knew what you were going to get when this guy came in and for certain you could count the number of 1-2-3 innings he had over the last 3 years on 1 hand. He wasn't going to be back next year anyway so get what ya can while he's doing well.
As for IROD, at this stage of his career he's about equal to Molina defensively but he has a much better bat. Most of his power is gone but he's still hitting close to .300.
I think it was a good trade and the Yanks will get draft picks when he leaves in November.

Perfect one steroid abuser replacing another steroid abuser Posada (think his 'big' number last year and his injury this year are NOT steroid related???? Think again) And I-Rod fits right in with all the other steroid abusers on the Yankee: Giambi, Pettie, Abreu, Jetter (yep him too) and of course A-Wol.

Pudge would be primary now?
Will either "specialty" catch?
This is mucking with Moose's head!!!
Will we just have Posada take his time coming back?
And what will their roles be next year?
And molina???
Is he going to fade away at the end of the season?
The plot thickens...

No need to respond on reply again as that's an idiotic racist comment. Delete yourself please.
Oh, I agree with you 100% hmmmm. Omar is unquestionably a racist. Find a list of transactions he has made since taking over the Mets and it is abundantly clear that he has favored Hispanic players at the expense of all others. That is just an indespoutable fact. You may say "But there are just more Hispanic players in the pool," and that would be true, but NO OTHER TEAM has signed close to as many.
Get your head out of the sand. Omar IS a racist because he hires his own people over all others.

Great move. I wanted Pudge last year but the Tigers picked up his option. It has been nice to see a real catcher behind the plate the past month and will be a pleasure to watch Rodriguez. Don't rush back Jorge.
Now, call up Kennedy, dump Ponson and tell Rasner when Hughes is ready he is going to the bullpen. Forget Washburn.
Kennedy sucks, and Hughes aint much better,I think you smoked enough weed dude.Washburn is better than either/or

Just heard that Nats released Loduca and Estrada. Coulda had another roid head or injury prone backstop instead of Pudge. Nice choices out there.

I think you have been smoking too much of your boyfriend's pole, moron. Kennedy and Hughes have about 10 major league starts each, are under 24 and you are telling me that they are no good? Wow. I guess your job as a baseball scout is working out well. I guess you will be in line for the Yankees GM position after the season, but I seriously doubt it.
Hey dumba-ss the Yankees should of traded Hughes and Kennedy for Santana that was a no brainer move..cause Hughes and Kennedy have allot to prove yet,and so far all they prove is they suck, while Santana has won 2 cy young awards, and your dumba-ss wanted to keep the two kids!your a young kid that got allot to learn yet son!

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Capricorn

A certain person is strong-willed with the Full Moon in your emotional house of others. It's a lunar eclipse too, so this could lead to some ructions in which everyone becomes firmly entrenched in their own opinions and refuses to acknowledge anyone else's point of view. Get the arguments out of the way early on, so you can then concentrate on having a really enjoyable New Year's Eve.
