Congratulations must go out to the Chicago Cubs. They were able to do something the white sox have never been able to do, go to the playoffs in back to back years. What a year for Chicago.

Great job, Cubs

Back when I was in the army, I was stationed on an aircraft carrier in the jungles of Pakistan just off the border of Korea. I don’t need to tell you that Attila was not happy about us cruisin’ the Pakistani rivers the way we did. But I guess 200 men in Speedo’s is something that would startled those damned commies from Canada. Well if you don’t see how the sox can benefit from my time in those jungles, then you don’t know baseketball. It's where I discovered love.

Knowing the Twins had lost to the Rays before hand the Sox come out and lay an egg. Tomorrow's a must as stated the Rays will be fielding their AAA team and I don't think you want to go into Minnesota with anything less than a 2.5 lead...

The Sox weren't supposed to finish in the top 3 of the Central this season....lay off--they are overachieving and will lay an egg every now and then. It is incredible that hey are even in the hunt. Once they make it to the playoffs--anything is possible.

It's HOW they lost it! That was a horrible, horrible game!! What game were you watching?
Is this the Hot Potato Division? Does anybody want to win this division?
I've really had enough of this crap and glad this is the final week of the season. Good Lord, I've had enough...that tag-team of Logan/MacDougal can make a grown man cry.
If you think for one minute that the Chicago White Sox are going to the playoffs with a bunch of doofs like that to "see us through...." then I've got a nice bridge to nowhere to sell you.
I'm a Sox fan since I was a kid, & will be going to 1 game in Minnesota to see the "Battle of the Bad Bullpens"/Minnesota Sweep, and the 3 final regular season home games here. That's a toss-up because Sox are better at home.
I'm tellin' ya, our 2008 Sox don't have what it takes to be in the playoffs.
Absolutely.
Positively.
Not.

No matter what anybody says, reality says, that the Sox have a 2 1/2 game lead in the AL Central. So, somewhere along the line they must have been playing pretty decent baseball.

I wonder what the "Winnin' Twin" fans are saying on their board?

All that I can say about that upcoming series is, that that team will have a tough time sweeping us no matter where the game is played, and even if the would, it still isn't over.

I feel that this division race is going right down to the wire.

Well a pattern seems to have emerged; the Sox and Twins seem to be content exchanging losses. So with a 2-½ game lead and seven games left it should work out for the Sox but it could go the other way just as easily based on the way the two teams are playing. The up coming series in Minnesota will be must see TV or like watching a train wreck depending on your perspective. Go Sox!

Yikes!!

The Sox-Minnesota series is "must see"
TV?

To the average Chicagoan, it will be as "must see" as the upcoming PBS documentary on the mating habits of Antarctic seals -- or the upcoming Discovery Channel piece on the plight of the Tennessee snail darter.

Outside of Daley's corrupt 11th Ward, the TV ratings will be infinitesimal.

Face it -- no one in Chicago cares about the boring South Side team in the junior circuit.

I know, don't remind me. It will be an awful beating with no mercy. One thing to cheer up us Sox fans, the same team of heroes will be back on the field in 2009,[except for Joe Crede]---1 year older, 15 lbs. fatter, and a whole lot slower.

Once again, a misguided cub fan needs to be reminded that baseball is not a popularity contest. Your comments sound as mature as 'my dad can beat your dad up.'. Wake up and see that their is no popularity prize in october. I don't care if a team is from the smallest town in the country or if they haclve 15 fans. The hardware is awarded to the best, not the trendiest, team in baseball. Your arguments are tired and senseless. Please stop.

No matter what happens the rest of the way, if they win the Division the White Sox will have backed in. Their performance the past week, with the entire season on the line, has been PATHETIC. However, my mom always said I should give praise to whom it is due- this kid Ramirez is sensational. If that means praising Kenny Williams and Ozzie, so be it. Where would they be without Alexi?

Seems Ozzie is managing for future games instead of winning the games that are being played today. Screwing with the rest of the SP's, etc. My son's LL coaches do that. If he would have kept the rotation the way it was, instead of worrying about the MN series, maybe we would have won more games and have a bigger lead while MN has not been showing up for most of their games. And Ozzie, if you're going to play Swisher, tell him to SWING THE BAT!!!

Van,

No matter if we back in, all that counts is that we get in, and right now things look good.

Everybody is so convinced we're going in the tank when we go to Minnesota. Won't it be ironic when we go up there and sweep them to clinch.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH AHAHAHAHA

Dagggummmit, I can't stand it!

Thanks, I needed a good laugh.

Fact: Only one team in Chicago is going to the postseason in 2008.

Hint: It's no the Black Sox

This team is difficult to watch daily the weakness in batting skills is frightening: Dye, Griffey, Swisher, Uribe, Wise=0 for 15.
In a game to win a championship this is how we perform!
If they were professional they would be embarrassed.
One way or the other I will be glad it is over.

With so much to do and so much on your mind, you may feel scattered today. It will be easy to forget dates and appointments, so consider setting an alarm to remind you of important meetings.
