One glairng weakness the Twins have is their bench. Can't anyone they bring up HIT. They look like a minor league ball team. Even though there is still a lot of baseball left, I think is about time to go out and get some better bench players.
Why is it the players that sign these big contracts always get hurt and the 2nd stringers do not. Look at Boston last year, many many injuries and they still made a run at the division but in our situation we do not have the players. I'm afraid the Twins will join the rest of our teams in Minnesota as another loser. I hope I am wrong but it doesn't look to promising.

I thought that the Pohlad boys were going to use all this new revenue to build a great team. Funny that never happened and now they are richer and we are poorer. You Twins fans are idiots!! Get a clue!! You suckers!!

again, NO leadership on this team, Funny reading about Cuddyer in this article but last week , when interviewed on TV about the team's bad start he simply laughed about it and said not to worry. Well, I guarantee you he wasn't laughing last night. This is a very sorry excuse of a ball team...and the manager, Gardenhoser just sits by and says "we're still battling out there"..well, they aren't even doing that. this team is lifeless, no fire, no get and go, no sense of urgency.and that starts at the top...how pathetic........It will be very interesting to see how this team reacts as well as the home crowd this weekend against the first place Indians.
GO TWINS?

The only place they seem to be running hard to is back to the dugout after a strike out or feeble groundout. Major under achievers who got their egos stoked the past couple years being told they had a fearsome lineup. Getting old and the cupboards appear empty. Lucky if they climb to third. This is as embarrassing as the Twinkies of the 80's!

These guys suck. Morneau's a total puss and a bunch of banjo hitters on the bench. Oh yeah, two closers that can't close.

At this pace, they'll finish 61-121....about 35 games out.

...and the way it they're playing, it could happen!

They got taxpayers to buy them a stadium, they got their multi million dollor contracts, they have a bunch of idiots willing to pay big money to watch them show up for work and go thru the motions, life is good for pro sports. Keep supporting the lifestyle of worthless pro orginizations and college lowlifes making millions, you friggin rubes.

When you have players making $23,000,000 a year, we have a right to be critical. China doll Joe is not worth it.

Injuries have nagged Joe Mauer since he broke into the majors in 2004. Here's a look at the most games caught by major leaguers since the start of the 2004 season (through Tuesday's games):

Player G Ht. Wt.

1. Jason Kendall 966 6-0 181

2. A.J. Pierzynski 911 6-3 225

3. Ivan Rodriguez 836 5-9 205

4. Yadier Molina 804 5-11 230

5. Bengie Molina 794 5-11 190

6. Victor Martinez 783 6-2 210

7. Jason Varitek 769 6-2 230

8. Jorge Posada 752 6-2 215

9. Brian McCann 731 6-3 230

10. Joe Mauer 728 6-5 233

My father is 91 years old and in a nursing home. Watching the Twins is a very big part of the day for these elderly people. It is now so bad that they would rather watch a blank screen than watch the Twins.

Why is Morneau on the bench? Does the poor little boy hurt something?
