Let's see, Shoppach has two fewer 2B, six more HR (as in six vs. zero) and and is batting for about the same average...in 21 fewer games. Time is shoort, but there are prospects to be had for one or the tuther!

Why even bring him back. The season is over in September. Work with this Shoppach kid and get his throwing worked out. A little instructional coaching and get this kid ready for next Spring. Sound like the rest of his game is okay. Maybe Martinez can play first base or even DH. It's not like our regular DH has done anything the past two years.
