Hafner's shoulder sounds like mine back when I was playing college ball. I felt a sharp pain everytime I moved it a certain way. Doctors, trainers, MRI... there was no measurable structural damage... all it needed was rest.

5 months into the offseason, all of a sudden, I woke up and it didn't hurt anymore... hasn't hurt since... very strange.

Get well soon Haf.

Its a shame about Hafner. It might be wise to shut him down until next SPring. Additional tests should also be warranted. It is hard to tell how much he could have helped the team if healthy.. I definitely would restrict any throwing or playing first base. It seems like that was the main cause in the flareup.

It will be great to have Victor back, but what does Barfield bring to the table? Even if Cabrera moves to short, Barfield is not the answer. We don't miss Blake and we wouldn't miss Barfield. Carrol is a much more deserved replacement at 2nd, but we really need a stud. Robby Alomar was the biggest addition that the tribe has made in 20 years. We should concentrate on 2nd, and dispose of Marte.

Interesting thought on going after a second baseman. Guess that is a good thing about this infield... between Peralta and Cabrera, I think we have to very good infielders, we can go after the best 3rd/SS/2nd baseman available and just move the others around.

Daily Horoscope for December 19

Aries

It's one of those days when you'd be wise to mind your Ps and Qs if you want to avoid putting both feet in it or feeling like a fool. The trouble is that you're finding it hard to think before you speak, and you're rushing into situations without thinking about the possible consequences. All you can do is to apologize and try your hardest not to let it happen again.
