Indians' Lee continues mastery of Minnesota Twins

Full story: TwinCities.com

Carlos Gomez still annoys the heck out of Cliff Lee. Too bad that's all the Twins are to the reigning Cy Young winner: An annoyance.

should have heard ESPN mocking this game. Cleveland is considered the dregs of the AL, looks like the league has figured out this good young pitcher. Get him away from Gardy before he franciso's him.

Same old same old. Our Big Number geniuses combined with a five item Factory Outlet grab-bag, choke up, stike out, flub, look like bush league chumps when matched against quality pitchers. Anyway. A first class loss in the fine tradition of the Senator/Twins also-rans.

A pitcher like Lee is precisely what the Twins need but don't have in the starting rotation. The Twins hit into three double plays. Lee got tougher with runners on base. Twins' starters, except Blackburn and Slowey, have generally caved in under pressure.

Over the past couple games, the bullpen pitchers are starting to show their true colors and their worth to the team. Dickey is becoming more intriguing as a reliever and possibly as a starter. His ability to mix other pitches with the knuckler makes him better. Dickey has become an important element in the pitching staff. Ayala and Crain both struggled again. The Twins may soon have to decide which of the two to ship away since they should keep Henn and Swarzak on board when Perkins comes back.

It was a sad loss considering that the Twins could have gained ground in an over all losing division.

Wow was that a painful game to watch! What is Casilla doing? so many errors. so many screw ups. Bring tolbert back. at least he can field a ball and get on base once in a while.

Will someone explain the deal between Lee and Gomez? What was gomez thinking for bunting with 2 strikes? i know lee doesnt think bunting is lagit, but is that it or is there something im missing?

I was at the game last night and I have to say that never, at anyttime previous while at the dome have I heard it so quiet. The fans were not, at anytime, even close to getting in the game...and the Twins themselves seemed so uninterested ( if that is even a word)...all in all, it was a waste of a beautiful summer night being indoors....the good news is that I found a parking space right across the street that only cost me $10 bucks..how sad but that was the highlight of my night....

that will probably happen when you get the giant stick out of your rear end.

Go INDIANS, REDSKINS, SIOUX, BLACKHAWKS, & BRAVES!

I have a Twin brother. i am now offended by the name of the Minnesota Twins. Please Change it.

People like you need something else to worry about.

Just learned a little something from your post. I was going to correct your "uninterested" (which I didn't realize was correct usage) with "disinterested". Found out instead that you were correct: The adjective disinterested means "impartial" and "without bias." Uninterested means "indifferent" or "unconcerned."

I know that most people will find this uninteresting, but it was nice to know that I learned something today.

By the way Danny Boy, when I have gone to see the Twins (especially on a week night game), there is usually plenty of parking on the roads within a block or two of the dome. It usually only costs me around $4 (meters are $1/hour and only go until 10 p.m.).

One gets a sense, reading some of these posts from those who were at the game, that the Twins or the fans really didn't feel as if they could beat a top notch pitcher like Lee. Cudos to Gomez for at least trying to get to him.

Daily Horoscope for January 6

Cancer

You could struggle to display your feelings and emotions at the moment. Being so sensitive, the smallest things could hurt your feelings, but no one else is likely to realise since you retreat into your shell at these times. This will not be a conscious decision, and you'll feel frustrated at your inability to explain the hurt you suffer.
