Maybe now Boston Management will see their closer for what he is, a fastball throwing one dimensional player. He demands to be paid like Mariano Rivera even though he cant throw like him. He is such a baby, management wont even think of letting someone else close a big game. If this doesnt bring him down to the level his head needs to be at hopefully the Yankees will offer him what he thinks he deserve and take his big head out of hear. I was only hoping that the Angels lined up on the baseline and did the jig.

This team is different from the Band of Idiots that won the 2004 series. They're to serious. They get in a hole and they tense up. The 2004 team played like they had nothing to lose fo the most part. Maybe if Kevin Millar retires they can get him to coach. They still have a good team to build on but they need to make some changes.
You can't blame Papelbon alone. I'll still hang on to him. They had serious lack of power issues in the first 2 games and several in the Yankees and Blue Jays series. They eased by the Indians in the final series before the playoffs because they had just fired their manager and that team was in worse tatters than the Sox. |
