Punto should be the utility guy that fills in when needed and let Harris be the everyday 3rd baseman. As JJ Hardy's physical difficulties show, Punto will be needed over the course of a long season. Especially now that the team has such a strong batting line up, Punto is valuable by just staying a bit over the Mendoza line.

Hey Nicky, here's a thought. Screw the "cycle" and play like a guy earning $4-5 million dollars should play. Put the bat on the ball, hit it on the ground, and keep your head up running the bases. Talk about stealing money -$5 million dollars for a utility player. America -- what a country!!

Im going to say he contends for the batting title this year and is the American League MVP and then overruns third base in game 7 of the world series and doesnt make it out of Target field alive.

If I had a whole freaking team of Nick Punto's we would kick the butt of all of those other over paid prima donna's. He is the person who we all should strive to become.
