I am oficially blue in the face. Mike Jacobs has got to go. While playing first base I learned that the main job is to salvage a bad throw, or to at least stop the ball. CANTU AT FIRST.

Jacobs?
Watch it, they were trying to throw him in the deal for Manny, the hard bargain Marlins offered Jacobs and all of the OBESE men that danced at the beginning of the season on Opening day I think it was, but Boston said they just wanted the Obese men and the Marlins could keep Jacobs.
The deal did not materialize because the Marlins wanted Boston to pay for the food the OBESE guys consumed on that Opening day dancing visit to the stadium. Boston John Henry got mad and said: "I must be mad, I must be crazy." Just like he said when they refused to build him a stadium and instead he was so broke (he did no have money for stadium) he bought the Red Sox.

Now, as far as the game tonight. It proves the Denny Green theory that "we know who they are, we know what they do, and we let them off the hook."

We all know that the Marlin bats for all their homers they will be silenced everytime or almost everytime by a good pitcher who knows what he is doing because they just do not adjust and still try to hit every pitch out of the yard. It is just that the pitching talent is highly diluted in the majors and so they feast on that.

I would love to see them beat Jamie Moyer once and then that will convince me that they can adjust a bit. Even tonight, as good a natural talent as Hanley is, he came up with the bases loaded and 2 outs and he was so geared up for that grand slam effect and with 2 strikes he was still guessing and of course he was outmatched and struck out but I was actually thinking that he was going to try to gap one to the right side... but Hanley was Jacobing it and Ugglaing it and on the back of his heels and did not make even one good swing on that at bat. IT IS A FEVER. THE JACOBS LOOPING SWOOPING HOMERUN SWING.

Like I said yesterday we should have saved some of those runs for today. Oh well, that pitcher Jimenez was insane and kept the Marlins guessing all night.

Fredi, you need to rest Hanley for a day or two. He's scary in the field and Jacobs didn't help either.

Jacobs swung at ball four twice in a critical spot and then finally makes an out.

Hanley still can't hit with RISP. Bring in Alfredo or Andino to pitch hit for Hanley in those situations and he will learn to hit in those spots.

Tomorrow is another day and luckily the Mets and Phillies both lost. Go Marlins!

My sons little league team plays better defense than the Marlins. SAD Never going to get anywhere playing like that. Look at the infield they had when they won the series. Almost all golden glovers. How long before people realize they dont want to improve this team. Maybe THATS why only 10 to 15,000 show up at the games. Cubs coming next week then will draw over 25,000 because of Cubs fans. GL rest of year as they will keep droping in standings.

The manager needs to get involved with the coaches and do a little 'TEACHing'! These guys need to forget HR for a while and learn to make contact! Handly looked like a high schooler, swinging on a bucket pitch that he should have known was comming! Also a bit of work on the infield wouldn't hurt! The doc should check out Handlys arm as he throws as if he has a problem in either the elbow or sholder! What do I know??

Another great defensive show by the Mullets. And the K's mount too. That jagoff Jacobs keeps enlarging his swing and posing after he swings and misses. No matter the count, the runners on base, the inning or the amount of outs. Whatta jerk. He shoulda been a peacock. He thinks he's a rock star.

Bashing Hanram after 1 bad game is more than ridiculous. The guy was just voted the best young player in baseball by his peers. But, I see its coming from the same idiots who bash our record breaking all-star 2nd baseman. Figures.

Hanley Ramirez is pathetic. Three years in the majors and he still doesn't know how to play the game. He's either too stupid to learn or so poorly coached he can't improve. Either way its a waste. Here's a lead off hitter who should and could hit .340, steal bases, pressure the defense, score meg-amount of runs, and be a holy terror with runners in scoring position. But what have you got? A guy who's one of the worst three hitters in the league with runners in scoring position (.187), doesn't know how to run the bases and can't steal second, bats under .300 strikes out an unforgiveable number of times trying to hit home runs, and is the worst defensive shortstop in baseball. And after two promising years and a good start in 2008, has become another overpaid "rump". Its a disgusting waste of god given talent.

I know you are on the payroll so why don't you see the things pointed out as constructive and suggest something be done to help instead of bashing me. I am NOT bashing Handly, only pointing out a possible problem! If it were only one game as you say, then I would have to agree with you! As fgar as Uggla, I would thing a tightning up of the swing has been recommended or someone is not doing their job! You did not mention my critizism of Freddi so I can only think that you agree! Manager of the year, I think not! I can only look at what these guys COULD do with a "Manager of the Year"!

Sarcastic and defensive you are. I didnt even read your post and that was not directed at you. Hanram and Uggla are terrific. They're not perfect and have weaknesses but overall they're great. They'll both be in the record books after this year in addition to all-stars. Expecting them to be great in every aspect of the game is unreasonable. And I'm not a Fredi fan ( I think he's OK), but he is being mentioned for manager of the year.

I agree, I was only pointing out what appears to be a Health issue with Handly and I think the rest is on Fredis' sholders!

Old Pro, my post was directed at UN Fair Hooker who NEVER has anything positive to say about an overachieving, exciting team.

As far as suggestions for improvement,I have said many times, our defense stinks. And I'm not a Hermida fan. We also could use a catcher. And some fans.

We will win tonight!! The runs that colorado got could have been prevented with solid D. Volstad did fine. Rough one for Hanley. He looked a little disinterested. I think sending Andino down was the wrong call. He had been hitting well. I think a lefty is starting tonight. No Jacobs!!

I'm fairly certain than an Uggla or Hanram trade, for example, would transform UN Fair Hooker from bashing mode to orgasm mode over them in a heartbeat.

You can set your watch by it- after a Marlins loss the haters, creeps and cowboy fans crawl out of their caves and begin predicting the Fish's imminent demise. They've been doing it since April and here it is August and the Marlins are still init.

I think every positinal player should get a day off once in awhile including Hanley Ramirez. I think the Marlins should start Amezaga today.

You are just ignorant and a bitter negative person. Hanley is a top 5 offensive player in all of baseball. Enjoy this great story of of a low payroll team with a chance to make the playoffs, if not, go back to your Mets sites and stay off the Sun-Sentinel.

Without the mismanaged Mike Jacobs this club has to lose. Batting 6th, not playing vs lefties, pulled out in the 7th is a joke. Way to important to be treated like this.

Daily Horoscope for December 3

Capricorn

With dark Pluto under pressure in your sign, this rather grave mood has been colored by the current state of a relationship. It isn't going as well as you would like, probably because you're feeling distanced. It's an inward-looking phase, full of obstructions, but best not to worry about things that might never happen, nor to stew about problems that are little more than ancient history. It's the festive season, so raise the cup of kindness and help those less fortunate than yourself.
