I won't cut and paste but isn't the first 4 paragraphs pretty much what I've been posting?

Pretty fair assessment, other than the Hughes love. Swisher doesn't do it for me in center; Jordan Schafer for Swisher and one of Kennedy/Aceves/Hughes/Melky?

I think if Gardner hits .280..he would be the starting CF..especially with his speed and would hit in the #9 hole..and lead off when Damon sits out some games..Swisher will see some playing time in left..and will DH with Matsui..hopefully Posada comes back and has a strong year...

Gardner gotta learn alot of plate disipline and won't have much time as pitchers will work to exploit his weak spots. Always liked Jorge as a player but he has a long hill to climb and the NYY best promising catchers are years away. Big hole if the injury saps his power, making a difficult DH role with the offensive/defensive gap in the outfield. Guess we'll see in a couple of weeks.

Redsox have the same problem with Varitek...a .210 hitter last year..Ellsbury a questionable hitter..you need to depend on..as Crisp is a big loss for the Sox...

Sox need a young catcher who projects above AAA; Dusty Brown and Kottras aren't gona cut it and they're next prospect is 2 years plus away. Pull the plug on a deal for Teagarden not Salty.

Ellsbury is a dynamic clutch hitter and will perform better not having to look over his shoulder at CoCo. Liked Coco's D but his slumps were horrible, not a true leadoff.

Best case Tek hits .250, worst case Baldelli PHs him alot.

Ellsbury has more experience, better D and potencial than Gardner thats for damn sure.

I think all the trade talks burned him last year , i'll bet he breaks out now that he owns CF.

Ramirez will ease any pain associated with Coco when he takes up long inning relief from the #4 and #5s.

Fine with me Sox BP was stronger than NYY are this year look at the figures.Much smore depth now, Yanks can't touch it.

"reported by Mark Hale in the New York Post, Yankees GM Brian Cashman admitted yesterday to being concerned about his future hall of fame reliever. When Mariano underwent shoulder surgery on 10/07/08, inital reports had him slated to begin throwing again in three months. Well, its now closing in on four months since his surgery and Mo has yet to throw a baseball."

Sounds like trouble. Cruz set to re-sign with Ariz, Yanks needed him.

Yanks are a house of cards, no depth one goes down they all start falling.
