It's nice to see the Rockies around .500 after the last couple of seasons, but it's so hard to make the playoffs in MLB that there still needs to be some changes before the deadline. (Powerhitter or SP)

Make no mistake, today's game is probably the most significant and most important game the Rockies have had in the last nine years. The way they come out today will speak volumes of where this team is at. They cannot afford to give up an early lead like the last two games. They cannot afford to bring in Affeldt for any reason (even eight run leads aren't safe with this guy). The middle of the line up cannot go 2-15. Cook cannot give up a big first inning. This is it boys, are you pretenders or contenders?

P.S. Affeldt shouldn't pitch one more game for the Rockies. I don't know how many games this guy has blown for us this year alone, but it's way to many. Send him down to AA where he belongs. Please Hurdle, don't let this guy in the game for any reason today, not even with a ten run lead. I guarantee if you do he will lose the game for us.
