Another internal option, but an unlikely one. Ramiro Pena -- Minor league defensive whiz.

I'd rather see Ransom than bringing in some over the hill guy with a big name. Last year when Arod got hurt, Girardi foolishly started weak hitting Alfredo Gonzalez at third for six games instead of Wilson Betemit or Morgan Ensberg. The Yankees lost all six of those games. That may have cost them a playoff shot right there.

Giraldi may be a fool but NYYs management are more foolishish for speculating on three players and not stacking the bench like TB and BOS. Didn't think this was a March issue but thought it would be a July issue.

I think brandon inge from detroit is the ideal person at third. he's a grinder and is an above avg. defender. What I like most is he is also a capable catcher. ARod has the surgery, Inge can go to third till then be used as a back up infielder. Also what if Posada goes down... Inge may not be as superb a defender as Molina... but ill take Inge bat and running over Molina.

Daily Horoscope for December 6

Sagittarius

You still prefer to be in a world of your own, in which nothing nasty is happening, but at least you're feeling a little more realistic than you were yesterday. It's a perfect day for visiting somewhere beautiful, peaceful or relaxing, or for going to the cinema or an art gallery. But it will be difficult to get up the energy for any prolonged Christmas shopping.
