When I tune in and see betemit and lillibridge in the starting lineup, i know i shouldn't even bother watching the game! NIX SHOULD BE STARTING. You want to bring beckam up, that's fine with me.

But enough with these other bums. Haven't seen a game where betemit didn't make an error or two or three. He gets the occassional double at the plate, but that is it. There is no way lillibridge or betemit should be starting in the big leagues. this is absolutely ridiculous. They sound like the bears, when they are trying to win games with davis, bradley, hester at receiver...suddenly there is no offense, and they wonder why?

No reason to have betemit start at third over nix, or lillibridge over nix in the OF. he can do it all, and he can hit. You can't add two guys who can't hit, to an already struggling offensive lineup, and expect different results. Get Nix in the lineup, see if beckam can handle the show, sit alexei, find a pitcher, stick it out with scotty in CF for the time being....Gonna be a long year either way

I sure am enjoying the comments about Bob Elson and his deliveries. I remember when he did a broadcast from ticker tape like it was yesterdau. The fake crack of the bat was the greatest.

It's great seeing post comments with reflection of times past and not those constantly critical of the Sox or their players. Negative comments about Reinsdorf are valid and worth posting.

You should write a book on your memories.
