Mike -

NO you are NOT a Sox fan. In the last 24 hours I have found evidence that proves this beyond a shadow of a doubt! My evidence shows that you are the "Number1CubsFaninthe World"!

What is wrong with you!

Hey Loser, jsut a question for you... Do you think those losers on the northside win a playoff game this year? Hell, we all know they will NEVER win the World Series, but can they at least win a a game? a series?

Mercy!!

Yes. A guy who once, in his entire career, has had a sub-4 ERA is "the best pitcher in the MLB"
Are you re-tarded, or merely a Sox fan?
She's actually a Cub fan pining for the days when Garland was in the Cubbie system....

D'oh!! Let that one get away...

Does it really matter? The Cubs are set for a big downer this season.
(1) The wasted and ridiculous contract for career year Dempster. I think by May the Dumpster name will be solified.
(2) It will become clearer that Z is a very good pitcher, but he is not a top ace that leads to world series victories.
(3) DLee's power will slide more.
(4) Soriano will drop more balls and get paid a ridiculous salary to had a .320 OBP at lead off.
(5) Our defense will blow!
(6) 2 start years in the playoffs does bold well for a 3rd year prediction.
(7) Soto could be in for the Jerome Walton curse!
(8) Can Marmol be in for the Farnsworth curse?
(9) Harden might soon remind us of Prior and Woods. No real reason to believe his health will turn around yet.
(10) Lilly has exceed expectations, no doubt. But he is still a career 4.40 ERA pitcher. His last 2 years were his best (4.09 ERA last year) anyone thing a 3 yr career year is in stock. Since I am a betting man, I putting my money on NO
(11) Anyone betting on Neal Cotts holding down the left side of the pen? Me neither!

Just like the economy, it will be a long year for Cubs fans. Good thing I can't afford tickets this year!

Sounds logical and I almost feel sorry for you. You can stop the hurt you know you can put them behind you and use this logic to love, follow and represent a real MLB team - the cubs of course.

The Cubs are committed to Theriot because Theriot has the type of salary they want in that SS position. Obviously, there's many other SS who would help out more than the Riot, but we all know who get's the big money for the Cubs. I don't see it with Sam Fuld at all, as he has absolutely no power whatsoever, and do you really think Pinella's going to take Soriano out of his leadoff spot for a rookie?

Lovable Loser, thats fitting, you are a loser...just like most cubs fans. I'd be more concerned about winning playoff games than filling the ball park. Of coures as a cubs fan thats all you have to look forward to, a ball park full of people watching a team that will get swept in the first round.

Is There ANYTHING Else You Cub Fans Have To Be Proud Of Other Than Your Attendance? Did I Miss The Awards Ceremony When MLB Gave Out The Attendance Trophy? I Remember When The Cubs Didn't Even Open The Upper Deck For Weekday Games. Don't Think It Can't Happen Again. Maybe Someday Cub Fans Will Have More To Come Back At Sox Fans With. But You Have To Win Something IMPORTANT First!

Thanks. I try to keep the "Hawk" theme in every post. People need to lighten up on Topix. It gets a tad heated.

the latest news is that one of the CUBS starting pitchers, rich harden is hurt. NOW & I MEAN NOW is the time mr hendry for YOU to get off your schneid
& acquire JAKE PEAVY. if you DON'T acquire him or another quality starting pitcher, and HARDEN is on the disabled list this year, the CUBS WILL be screwed! and don't tell us that MARSHALL will be a starter! he is NOT a quality pitcher! let's NOT play a waiting game. remember the famous saying, IF YOU SNOOZE, YOU LOSE! DO IT,DA--itt!

Daily Horoscope for December 10

Taurus

Social situations bring out the best in you right now, especially if they encourage you to be a free spirit and you don't have to worry about being on your best behavior all the time. In fact, you'll welcome the chance to kick over the traces in some way or remind certain people that you're a much more complex personality than they sometimes give you credit for.
