Full story: South Florida Sun-Sentinel

If his abrupt removal in the ninth inning of Sunday's game didn't make it clear enough, subsequent conversations did.

I'm sure it is the finances and not the crushing blown saves that is keeping you from closing this season and possibly being back next year, Kevin. When it is all said and done, those games against the Cubs, Rockies, Braves, and Giants that you blew (among others) will be the difference of making the playoffs and being home. I have no problem with seeing what Lindstrom can do right now and going with a better (maybe cheaper) option next year.

You're a classless guy, Kevin. You have always found someone else to publically blame for your failings. Had you pitched well instead of folding like a bad tent, this team would have made the playoffs, and they would have kept you for next year and gone for it again. The management's cheap, but they're not stupid. Goodbye.

I didn't know that Gregg was such an a bad sport. He lost his job as the closer because he failed at it. Period. Now he is acting as if there were some sort of conspiracy against him.

If he wasn't out of the picture for next year, after what he has said publicly, he is gone now! Good riddance. He led the league in blown saves and did not tell a soul he reportedly was hurt. We may have missed the playoff because of him.

Geez, Gregg, they gave you a chance to SHINE. At least PRETEND that you appreciate the chance they gave a nobody middle reliever through the Peter Principle to move you up to closer.

Yeah, the ownership is cheap (only one guy on here would deny it), but even cheap closers that blow saves out their nose are gone. Cabrera and Beckett are gone for money issues. Julio, Benitez, Olivo, and you are gone for performance issues, not money issues.

I don't see anything here that indicates a lack of class or poor sportsmanship...seems to me he's just telling it like it is. Give him credit for just being honest. As for costing the Marlins the playoffs, subtract Cantu, Nolasco, Johnson, and Volstad and spread the blame. Kevin...consider yourself lucky, especially if you hook up with a real contender.

It is a shame to see Kevin Gregg lose his role on the team to Matt Lindstrom, but he wasn't getting the job done. The Marlins' need a face for the bull-pen and hopefully Matt will be the guy in the future.

You are gonna blame Ross and Amazega? They both did more than was expected. And Helms and Gonzalez only did what was expected of them as well...

Ramirez gets some of the blame because so much more was expected from our top player, but I figure just one plateful for him.

Miller, Badenhop, Hendrickson, Vandenhurk, Uggla, Jacobs, Pinto, Gregg, Fredi, Hermida, and Willingham sure can serve up a second helping of blame though...

I was referring to tho ones who were consistently performing well...but I have no argument with what you say.

It's not the finances, Kev. It's the fact that if you had held a quarter of all the saves you blew this season, we'd probably be first in the NL East. 30 saves doesn't mean a whole lot if you blow almost as many. On behalf of Marlins fans everywhere, Kevin Gregg, get lost!! You suq donkey dique!

I don't blame Gregg for blowing and losing all those saves. I blame Freddy for not taking him out on the days that Gregg did not have it. You can't keep the closer in the game just because he's the closer. Whe you live and die with the closer, these are the results. Freddy you should learn from Tony Larusa

Its the fans fault. Nobody shows up to the games so Kevin Gregg is not inspired to successfully close out ballgames. What would solve this problem is a new stadium. Better idea, lets put the stadium in one of the worst economically-stricken neighborhoods in Florida. That way, all these poor families that barely have the money to survive can pack up all the little ninos and scrape up $120 for 6-nosebleed seats. Then maybe Kevin Gregg will perform better.

Here is an idea for the Marlins. Let this clown go. Use some of the millions of dollars you Jewish dirtbags are sitting on to bring in some free agent talent. Hey K-Rod is a free agent. Best closer in the game. Do you think the Marlins would even consider bringing in a record-breaking, Latin talent who would close out nearly every ballgame for the next few seasons? No way. Players and winning aren't what puts people in the seats. Its big, stupid ballparks.

Kevin, You are GONE, but not soon to be FORGOTTEN by people who witnessed and agonized with this team throughout the year and had to see your short armed, erratic stuff blow 31%!!!!!!!! of all save opportunities--what may be an unprecedented number for a guy with more than 20 chances. To call you a BUM would be a callous insult of homeless people everywhere. That you will be given a RAISE by an arbitration process that even awards CHOKE ARTISTS is a slam against the American concept of an honest day's pay for an honest day's work. Oh, I forgot. We don't tell the truth about injuries impacting our performance.

Not racism at all. I've been to the area that surrounds the Orange Bowl. Lots of little ninos. Pure fact.

Daily Horoscope for November 29

Cancer

If you've been troubled lately, now's the time to seek a friend's counsel. Even just a little tea and sympathy will be nice, so plan to have lunch with someone simpatico. Everyone needs to spend a little time with someone who won't judge them; Cancer is often wonderful at giving this sort of unconditional affection but often has a harder time seeking it out. Accept a little TLC... you need it now.
