Bad base-running. careless error in the first by A J. We're a scrappy team, we can't afford to be giving away games like this, we'll lose enough as it is.

2 of 3 against the best team in the NL and then lose to a pathetic team like the Nats.

Trembley gave this game away when I saw the lineup cards.Jay payton had a good streak for about 3 games. That's all he's good for.To bench Luke Scott and Aubrey Huff when they have ben hitting both right and left handers is atrocious. And then to have Fahey starting at ss,why do they keep thinkng he's a major leaguer, just because his father was an okay catcher? And the outfield mistakes and baserunning blunders continue to haunt us.And why Trembley didn't have Mora bunting in the 9th is absurd. He leads the team in DPs.Unfriggingbelievable.Natio nals 4 TRembley 2.

We are a bad club vs LHP. Mora is in a horrendous slump, getting locked up inside all the time. How can Fahey become a spectator and get thrown out on that lucky excuse me double he hit? How can an experienced starting pitcher (Cabrera) walk a career bajo hitter like Willie Harris in the top of the 7th? All in all a flat performance, which was almost predictable after the Cubs series...

Please, oh, please trade Daniel Cabrera. For all the wonders of this season, this is a team that needs every last edge and advantage. Cabrera's inconsistencies, lack of dependability, horrendous fielding and little-league approach to batting (against NL teams) are not worth his valued slot in mid- and long-term development. Game after game, you're left to wonder -- will it be Good Daniel or Bad Daniel tonight? Alas, you know which one shows up most of the time. He takes all the fun out of an otherwise terrific year.

This game was lost when DT's lineup went up tonight

NO WAY Huff and Scott (again?) are out of the lineup - the hottest hitters and so limit them to one AB??

while Mora & Millar play??
oh and nice OF work guys...

Just like I said before , the real Cabrera has shown up again, someone pinched him a month ago and he woke up from his pleasant dream, trade him now while some fool who calls himself a gm makes a huge mistake and takes him.

Easy, people. Cabrera should have been pulled after the lead-off walk to start the 7th, but he sure did mow the Nats line-up down from innings 3 through 6. Payton's whiff on the liner to left was pathetic....that ball has to stay in front of him.

What rankles me more than anything is Fahey's lack of hustle out of the box on his check-swing flare. Adam Jones was sprinting from second to score while Fahey gawked at his excuse-me DOUBLE. How can this tool get called up from Triple-A and make such a blunder in his first game back? Why wasn't Cintron in the game in the first place with a curve-balling lefty on the mound?

Should Mora have bunted in the ninth? He IS the best at that on the team, so that was certainly an option. Too bad Millar would have popped out weakly to shallow right afterwards.....grrrrrrrrr.

We'll get 'em the next two.
