Holm didn't get many at-bats and never got a real chance to play. If the Twins don't go outside the organization, the team won't be bringing up much better than either Holm or Butera. Holm was a defensive liability, and it will be interesting to see whether Butera can keep his batting average over .100.

What's the deal with Mauer? Is this going to be another event like Morneau last year. The team keeps a tight lid on progress and just keep saying that the player is progressing and that they don't want to rush things. Before you know it, it is the All-Star game and the star player has missed half the season.

What about Wilson Ramos? Shoot, traded him for Capps. Jose Morales? Nope, traded him for Paul Bargas (who, in a tragic fluke, has been diagnosed with brain cancer).

Mike Redmond is coaching the Lansing Lugnuts. Think he'd want back in? He turned 40 today.

They don't need 2 catchers that hover around .100 BA.- 1 is plenty. Hopefully, this means Mauer is close to ready.

What a way to extend their careers. Play a few games, take off a month or two, play a few, take off a few, yada yada yada.

Just like Butera, Holm simply cannot hit major league pitching. Apparently, Butera's defensive ability and ability to work well with the pitchers overrides his inability to hit at all let alone in critical situations where a hit is needed to drive in a run or to advance a runner to scoring position.

Gardy makes no sense, get rid of the least played guy, and keep the rest of the non productive team. Makes no sense.
