as always inconsistency will determined every losing season, player being paid lots of money to hit the ball didn't do their jobs,it's a waste of time watching these losers

Lou's got the right idea. He's really been a great manager and the guys are playing well. This team was expected to do one thing and came out doing something else. Their still winning ball games and winning series. As a fan, I'm proud of the way they are playing.

If the Cubs can come back and win today's game, that will make it 3 series in a row. They continue to win 2/3 of their remaining games and they will be right there, if not in the drivers seat in the division. They need to get this win to have some momentum coming home vs. the Brewers. Big homestand coming up with Milwaukee, the Astros and the Dodgers. This stretch will be very imporant prior to the all important series next month vs St. Louis, with that makeup game vs St. Louis at home wedged into a roadtrip vs Pittsburgh and Cincinnati. Those are two teams that give the Cubs trouble even though they are not contenders. All in all shaping up to be a pretty exciting time for the last 35 games in the Central for the Cubs.
I am a little concerned with Soriano coming back too early on Tuesday vs Milwaukee. I know it is a big series, but the early reports are that Soriano will be coming back when he isn't 100%. Any reason why that would be? There is no doubt how important he can be to the lineup, but Theriot is doing well in the leadoff spot and I am a little concerned that if he tweaks it again, that he will be out the rest of the season. We will have to wait and see on that.

Daily Horoscope for December 31

Capricorn

A certain person is strong-willed with the Full Moon in your emotional house of others. It's a lunar eclipse too, so this could lead to some ructions in which everyone becomes firmly entrenched in their own opinions and refuses to acknowledge anyone else's point of view. Get the arguments out of the way early on, so you can then concentrate on having a really enjoyable New Year's Eve.
