why do the mets lose every games i go to?!
as for maine i think his real ptoblem is that when there is and error, he just unravles. it was supposed to be 6 innings, 3 runs 99 pitches-(not TOO bad) he probably could have gone another inning. but then... it wasnt his fault conine thought first bas was past the foul line(what was with that?!). but after that is where he has to figure things out. so i think pretty much CONINE cosst us this game (yea, without his error it would have been 3-2 but when you're down by 1 instead of 4 its a total different feeling - i mean after that inning when it was 6-2, the mets made it look like they GAVE up)

i came up with a stat thats stupid, doesnt mean anything- but maybe i just noticed it b/c i was at both games but so far both times when maine went there to complete a sweep (agains yankees & last night) mets only scored 2 runs.

Mets ran themselves out of this game early on and let the fat man off the hook.Forget about this game. Phils and Braves next. Should be good baseball to watch.

Wells made Wright look like a rookie both in the field and on the bases. The pickoff was as funny as the bunt single. Wright was probably fooled by Wells' appearance, as are most announcers and writers. Fans who know the game appreciate a guy who knows how to play. Wright has a lot to learn. Willie should tell him to watch the veterans and pick up some tips on how to win.

He would, but the only Veterans the Mets have are poor role models.

I saw wells at his best yesterday, and while at his best he
may help the mets, at his worst he would have hurt them.
the team can't take a chance on him and hope he is so good all the time, so it is best that they did not get him.

. "Choke Job" look up the meaning of choke and look at Red Sox/Yankees 2 years ago for the AL pennant. Yanks up 3 games need 1 stinken win and what do they do, lose 4 games in a row, 4 games in a row, now that is the defination of not only a choke but the BIGGEST CHOKE in the HISTORY of the game.
This is a perfect example why Yankee fans are the biggest idiots out there. Mets lost game 7 on a strikeout, lost 4 out of 7 to the team that kicked the Tigers ASS and won it all. How did the Mets choke. BTW what were the Yankees doing while the Mets were choking, er playing with themselves. hhahhhahahaha

Now YOU'RE correcting grammar? Kat, do you smoke Drano and then log on to newsday.com ? I've never seen a Mets fan this preoccupied with another organization other than the one you root for. Worry about the Mets-icans going down to Atlanta, then we can further discuss choking.

. I love Drano, it really cleans out all the dumb brain cells, maybe you should try it. It's best after breakfast, not good on an empty stomach. What does Atlanta matter? As I said they could sweep the Mets and it wouldn't even matter regarding the race. Atlanta isn't even going to win the wild card.
