Vizquel makes $5 million a year compared to Ochoa's league minimum and Roberts makes $6.5 million as compared to Fred Lewis'$392 K. Now, obviously it is your opinion that the Giants should pay the high-priced players to ride the pines? What a DEAL! Come to the Giants, we'll pay high and you don't even have to work!

Secondly, you left out Winn who is 34 and making $8.875 million this season, Molina is 34 also and pulling down $6.25 million Oh, wait let me guess they are two years younger than Aurilia and Roberts so obviously they are part of the youth movement?

I have read sports articles for 40 years+ and this is the worst I have ever seen. My daughter could have written better and she's just becoming a baseball fan. The least you could have done is argue that Roberts, batting .167 and Vizquel, batting .179 obviously needed some time on the bench. But, your article said they had just received a couple nights off. So much for that argument. It is very funny to hear a Giants fan claim the old guys need to be on the bench in the second half. Were you saying that about a certain old man named Bonds the last eight years as well, after all he was the same age as Roberts and Aurilia EIGHT YEARS AGO!

Oh and another thing, no I'm not through with you yet. Vizquel, Hall of Fame? Pulease! The days of Mark Belanger and Ozzie Smith are gone, today you had better be able to do more than flash the leather you'd better be able to swing some lumber. Vizquel is a career .272 hitter with only 2630+ hits in 20 seasons, 77 home runs, 384 steals and only 1354 runs! He's had only one season over .300 and that was '99 when he had a miracle year and hit .333, however in the post season, when the Indians had their butts handed to them by the Yankees, he hit a whopping .235! Speaking of which, he's a .254 hitter in the postseason, he can't even claim to be a clutch performer.

Good God man. I hope they aren't paying you for this.
