...and yeah, I think the curtain should finally come down on Mr Castillo. He always looks sullen and miserable and he plays slower than a cement mixer. Big mistake signing him but there had to be a reason why the Twins were willing to let him go.

A typical Mets fan; the Team just sweep the Breewers in a 3 games series in Millwakee;the Team went 6-2 in 8 games in Philly, Florida and Millwakee and He is talking about mistakes
What else is new?

Nice way to wrap up a great road trip against 3 tough teams the Phils, Fish & Brats. 6-2. Very nice. Now let's enjoy the calm before thr storm. Shea is going to be rocking this weekend, in fact all of Queens will be gridlock city with the US Open finals next door to Shea & the Mets-Phillies. Hope the boys from Flushing can get 2 of 3 & shut up Rollins & Myers the wife beater. I think the Mets are running on all cylinders, heck even the pen has been tremendous the last 4 days. If you're going to get hot, this is the time. Of course after last year's choke, I won't be comfortable until the Mets are the NL East champs. 6 up with 5 to go would be nice. LETS GO METS!!!!

Todd.- A choke or a deal between George and Randolph???
Do you know what?
I never bought the BS that Randolph was a Mets fan and he wanted to win with the Mets.
Randolph mistakes were way to many to be real

What a ridiculous thing to say. Willie Randolph was a gentleman, a fine baseball player, and he grew up in Queens as a Mets fan. He was just a lousy manager, that's all.

You have NO idea what you are talking about. Has more infield hits then anyone, started the ralley on Friday that helped WIN the game, his defense is pretty damn god.

Who cares what he looks like. Just because he's not hyper like Jose R does not mean he's not playing well.

Seriously you don't like him because he looks "sullen" stop the crap.

This was a complete three game series. Clutch hitting, good defense and quality pitching out of the bullpen. Milwaukee dominates left-handed pitching, yet the Mets swept a series in which they started three lefties. Pedro Feliciano and Joe Smith performed wonderfully in specilaty roles during this series. The bullpen really shined. Great series.

Interesting, the last team from Boston that tried to rip the heart out of a NY team in a championship game was the Patriots. Like the '07 Giants, the Mets are gathering momentum at just the right time.

Going by his looks is obviously ridiculous. But let's not get carried away with Castillo.

He is slap singles hitter who is batting .262 for the season and has a whopping 10 extra base hits in 73 games. When healthy, he is a decent fielder with good speed on the bases.

But his best days are behind him, and signing him to a 4 year contract ranks pretty close to the top of Omar Minaya's worst moves.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Taurus

As Mars turns retro, emotional tension makes you feel as though you're walking on eggshells. The temperature has risen by several notches, making the situation at home more fraught. Better to clear the air quickly and cleanly than to sulk and brood in ways that simply prolong the agony.
