Cubs' Carlos Zambrano will take Sunday off

After naming Carlos Zambrano his starter for Sunday and saying he would pitch an inning or two, Cubs manager Lou Piniella switched to Angel Guzman after Saturday's game.

I think Edmonds had been penciled in to play left field, because that's where Ward played. Reed Johnson started in center.

Seriously, this game means nothing to the Cubs, and to be fair, we had the Iowa Cubs in the lineup against the Mets too. Fair is fair, and if any Met fans complain, they can look up the lineups for the last series.

No need to get anyone hurt in a meaningless game. Glad that DeRosa is sitting out. Hopefully Soto will take the day off too. We need both of them healthy and rested for the playoffs.
