Its time to start Tatis/Sheffield in Leftfield....Murphy has a good bat but his defense sucks....give the at bats in left to Tatis/Sheffield and let Murphy sub at 1st or 2nd.

Nah you cant have him sitting on the bench, send him to buffalo so he can work on his defense in LF...Buffalo needs a bat anyway before they get run out of town.

I have a pair of house slippers with better traction than Murphy's spikes.

yeah, they need to do something about this guy. Remember Keith Miller? That was a disaster just like this. Maybe we can package this guy to another team who has a position for him.

Jerry is to blame for this. Announcing that Murphy was the starter early in the spring was stupid. Maybe if we were talking about the Nationals, but not New York. Too much pressure for a kid who is learning how to play a new position. Platoon him with Sheff in left, so he can learn position. Leave Church alone.

Hey Murphy at least hits the ball when he's up ,I have heard quite a few team announcers praise him for his abilitey to get on base .he knows the hitting zone and covers it well ,he may not get a hit every time but he makes contact .He doesn't strike out much either ,he need a little more time to mature out there and he'll be okey . Its the other guys who are dragging their butts hitting.

I agree but at what cost? That will be fine in the AL where they have the DH. He should be sent down to the minors to practice LF. And with his determination, he should be back by the All-Star Break for good.
