Don't worry Met fans. In 8 years, Josh Johnson will be pitching for you. And we'll beat you then also.

Great pitching by both teams. Good to win both series within our division.

Yeah, and now onto Atlanta. Fredi's got Andrew Miller slated to start Wednesday against Derek Lowe. I don't like that matchup. I'd rather hold Miller out until Friday at Washington. With the off day Monday, the other four starters all still get five days rest with Miller going Friday.

We got Hanley for Beckett. And A. J. Burnette spent a couple years injured and has had only one decent year out of the last 5.

Memo to the Mets: all the closers in the world won't help your outfielders catch the ball.

Both Baker and Paulino have good OBP so far which could be a key to the season. And I think Paulino has done really well catching Johnson. Paulino and Bonafacio look like big additions to this years team.

it would have been nice to see Lindstrom come in and close out the game, but Fredie doesn't have any confidence in the bull pen.

Not everyone pitcher is going to give you 9 good innings.

We still need help in the pen

great win 2 out of 3 from the muts is always a good thing. Still need to find help in the bull pen.

the mets need to buy more players. that's the only way they can beat other teams.

I agree, but it's nice to see Freddi stay with what worked the entire game. Hopefully this will influence his thinking on turning the game over to his bullpen when his starter has got a shutout going.
