Why is Church sitting

Clearly, the Mets organization, should be playing Church EVERY day. When he is in the lineup, he hits and plays a much better right field, than ANYONE ON THIS TEAM. So why is he ever sitting??? Is there truth to the racism rumor, by Omar? It can't be that, but what possibly keeps this guy, on the bench???
Somebody, better wake up management, because Church WANTS TO BE A MET, and those rumors are coming from 'management', otherwise, are a cover up for something sinister.
Mets need timely hitting, but leave the best hitter on the team on the bench. WHY ???
Simple solution, play Church and win.
blah blah

its really not that big a deal to bench church, mets need to keep all players active and after they had won 2/3 its safe to give him a day off and focus on the next series in st louis regardless of the third game's outcome. with baseball's long season it is a game of attrition.

Since Molina broke our hearts on 2006, this team has lost its competitive edge. Games are microcosms of seasons, with the mets proving they are talented, but don't have the drive to overcome and win. When there are critical games, or turning-point situations within games, these Mets always seem to find themselves on the short end of the stick. You can't claim 'bad luck' forever, the Mets need to learn how to fight to win ball games by strength of will. A high priced contract might get you a good player, but I've never seen a piece of paper deliver a game winning hit.

The Mets have lacked a killer instinct for as long as I can remember. When an opponent is on the ropes, they never seem to muster the will or the capacity to really finish him off. It's as if the Mets take some weird pity on opponents that they're so close to besting and allow them to sneak back into games, series, or divisional races. Or it's that they lack the confidence to see themselves a winners and champions. Where's the ruthlessness?

This is a psychological issue, and due to the fact that it's been around forever, regardless of who plays for the team, the attitude of the club itself is the source. Nobody but the utterly and completely clueless Wilpons to blame for it this time around.
