Too bad Wright can't be clutch for the NY MESS.
The guy and his NY MESS teammates choke when the season winds down for the NY MELTS.

speaking for those of us that thought wright was "unclutch" last year, the numbers do say he had a down year last year (.243 with runners in scoring position,.259 with runners on third and less than two outs and .235 with the bases loaded,.703 OPS w/RISP) while his overall numbers were great admittedly. and the at bat against the cubs represented everything wright was doing wrong last year when the pressure was high: trying to pull everything for power and getting away from his opposite field hitting approach that made him so successful in his career up to that point. i just think wright has to relax and let those hitting behind them do their share too instead of trying to win every game with his at-bats. we aren't just calling him "unclutch" with no statistical evidence. but here's to wright getting back to hitting singles and keeping the line moving this year in clutch situations.

Wright is the main reason the Mets choke every year. The guy is a ****Y with no heart.

I like Wright as much as anyone else, but come on just cause he got a clutch hit in a glorified exhibition game means absolutely nothing. Leave it to this dope Davidoff to try to fabricate some sort of connection between this and what he can do during the regular season.
