La Russa makes nice with Edmonds

Was at the game today. It was great to watch the "genius" Tony LaRussa run the Cards out of inning after inning. The suicide squeeze was the best - dead meat at the plate. I'm also hoping now that the rest of the Cubs fans have finally accepted Edmonds - watching him belt TWO dingers, and the responses from the agonized Cards fans around me, was terrific.

The squeeze was called by an I'll-show-you showoff who got it shoved up his LaRussa. Nice deflection of accountability, Skippa.

Always feel good when the Cubs beat the Cards, moreso than the Brewers who are a bunch of babies (see Fielder) who don't know how to win without Sabatthia.

LaRussa is pressing based on his baserunning and bunting as of late. Notice how the cubs have been executing, LaRussa style? Lou should start batting his pitcher fourth just to show up Tony. Both, nevertheless, are great managers who utilize the talent they have

Might Edmonds expect a little chin music today? That would be LaRussa's M.O.

Last week the Brewers got pissy and frustrated while the Cubs were pummeling them, and Yost/Gagne threw at Edmonds. The Cubs responded by keeping their composure.

But LaRussa, because he's the smartest guy in the room and after a long Friday night of boozing and contemplating, will likely react today.

And really, there is no better response than to bash a few balls onto the streets and toss more bats at his dugout.

LaRussa is the biggest winer in baseball. He can dish it out but he can't take it. He'll certainly throw at Edmonds and the cry foul when the Cubs retaliate.
