Wang Could Be Out For Year

Full story: Hartford Courant

The news on Chien-Ming Wang on Monday was almost as bad as it could be - he's probably out for the season with ligament and tendon damage in his right foot sustained running the bases Sunday in Houston.

"Hank Doesn't Like NL
Hank Steinbrenner knows where to place the blame for Wang's foot injury. With the National League and its outdated rules.

The Baby Boss said the NL needs to join the rest of professional baseball and adopt the DH.

Steinbrenner's logic? Wang wouldn't have been injured if he hadn't been running the bases in an interleague game in Houston...."

Yo, Hank...BLAME your Conditioning Coach for not getting these "Million Dollar Players" in better phyiscal condition.

Blaming a Rule? How Pathelic!!

Hank doesn't like the NL? Come on Yankees, grow up! You have a multi millionaire pitcher who can't perform a most basic function of human life, not baseball skills, and be able to run around some bases! I feel bad for anyone being injured, but sort of comical if you ask me...a pitcher who can't jog a few feet!

It's not like baserunning is anything new, the AL is one of the very few places in baseball the pitcher doesn't bat. I hate the rule, they should all bat.

Hank is an idiot.

The time for conditioning, Jim, is in spring training. Conditioning and batting coaches shouldn't expect to have been working with Wang 2 weeks ago; getting him ready to run bases and face pitching in June for 9 inter-league games. Wang's injury is likened to a spring training injury. He is not an experienced runner or batter.

What's pathetic is that MLB has 2 sets of rules in effect, depending on which ballpark the game is played in. Either have the DH in both leagues or do away with it in both leagues. The American league is ALWAYS at a disadvantage when playing in a National League ballpark.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Capricorn

Mercury retrograde in your sign will cause some friction between you and other people during coming weeks. Matters that have been bubbling away in the background will come to the boil, forcing you to do something about them. Try not to overreact, nor to create a crisis out of something that's really very minor. You should also keep a strong sense of fair play and pay attention to every little detail.
