It's so stupid that teams have to have an 8th inning guy and a 7th inning guy and a closer nowadays. They can't pitch everyday, so the smaller you make the roles, the more pitchers you're gonna need, and the greater the chances that some of them aren't going to be any good. Teams should get a few good relievers and leave them in for a few innings per game. Like the Yankees were doing with Aceves.

Sparky, Eck, Sutter, Tug, and Goose sometimes came out in the 7th for the save.
