SHELBURNE: Baseball players' message -- bean balls aren't what ...

Full story: Daily Breeze

Sometimes a bean ball is just a bean ball. Not a referendum on what Chad Billingsley did or did not do to the Philadelphia Phillies after Brett Myers grazed the whiskers of Manny Ramirez's chin in the National League Championship Series last season.

If it is the eye for an eye type of retribution (you hit our best guy, we hit your best guy) I would have to disagree with the choice of Fielder, besides he is so fat he would never feel it. Braun wouldn't be a good choice either, although he hits well, he is a booger-eating spaz (Timmy Lupner) in the outfield. I probably would have hit Cameron, the guy is a legend in his own mind and I can't wait till we play these punks again. I would start Broxton and let him drill their entire ilineup for a few runs, then get down to business.

I don't know what Ramona Shelbourne is but he must be a fill in baseball writer. Yes, you are right a bean ball is a part of the game. An old part. But when you try to hurt someone EXPECT THEM TO RETALIATE OR AT LEAST SHOW SOME DISPLEASURE! Prince's reaction seems pretty damn ordinary to me. I have no problem with Mota hitting Prince-part of the game. But I do have a problem with the condescending attitude of a baseball WRITER ripping into a baseball PLAYER for arguing that someone should not intentionally hurt him, and this waste of an article written to just fill space in a paper.

Don't forget the back story: Manny was plunked by Cincy and then thrown at by Florida. Finally Weaver drilled Hanley, and them the Marlins drilled O-Dawg and acted like the Dodgers had started it. O-Dawg just went down to first while the Marlins pitcher went to the dugout for a showy round of high-fives. Other teams seem to feel they can go way inside on manny without fear. Thanks to Weaver and Mota, maybe not!

Your the dumbest person on this blog!

The bean ball has been part of baseball since before you were born and shall continue to be. How can Prince's reaction be ordinary. If he was so bad ass he should have rushed the mound instead of trying to put on a show and trying to enter the Dodger Clubhouse. Mota definitely intentionally hit him but to say that he wanted to hurt him is ridiculous. The Brewers hit not 1 but 2 Dodger players and you dont expect to get hit back?

Daily Horoscope for December 2

Capricorn

The Gemini Full Moon brings situations at work to a head; there may be a sudden event that shakes up the office, but you should be free and clear of any real trouble. The real issue is the one you have most likely been avoiding: what sort of state is your health in? Have you been buying larger pants each year for the past three or four years in a row? Is your idea of strenuous exercise scooping hard ice cream out of the carton? If so, it's time for some changes.
