Brendan Harris needs a change of scenery. I hope he gets traded to a NL team where he can play every day. If so, I think he'd get his swing back and bat around .280. Nothing amazing, but good enough for most clubs.

This tells you that Cuddyer is playing third fairly often. It hasn't been fair to Harris to ask him to get on track getting 3 at bats a week. Not many guys in a slump can get better that way. He'll play everyday at Rochester and be back to contribute later in the season.

Bet you're wrong. Look at the scraps we've called up so far this year that have no experience. Harris WILL BE BACK. You're the guy who thinks Gardy should be fired. That tells me all I need to know about your baseball knowledge.

Try watching the games-he makes mistake after mistake and has done nothing in the post season. You are clueless.

Sending Harris down was the right move, and he would probably do better somewhere else. He's never going to be a starter with the Twins.

Bringing up an outfielder from Rochester doesn't make that much sense. The Twins should give Valencia a real chance to play third base and leave Cuddyer in the outfield. Maybe Cuddyer should sit a game or two. Mauer and Morneau get a break occasionally. Cuddyer is older than both those guys. Sit him or keep him in the outfield. With Kubel, Young, and Span to play the outfield whether Cuddyer is at third or not, it's likely the new guy will get nothing but pinch-hitting duty or possibly play some defense and nothing much more.

I agree that it was a good move to send Harris down but think bringing up an outfielder is not a bad idea for now. Span needs a rest and a challenge to get some fire back. He looks mentally spaced out.

Harris is likely done as a Twin. Being outrighted removed him from the 40 man roster and it is unlikely that he will make it back on. Valencia is definitely a better long term bet.

Really? He hit pretty darn well the past two seasons, and was good enough to play shortshop and third base. And what exactly are his mistake after mistakes? Easy to say it, get specific. I think you are clueless. Nick Punto has hung onto a roster spot for 5 seasons just for his glove. He gets 25 at bats a week and reaches base on seeing-eye singles, bloops and walks when the pitcher doesn't throw strikes. My how we turn on one guy when he's not producing for a few months.

And exactly why should be part with Gardy? Use your fingers to count his trips to the playoffs...and you'll have to use both hands. He'd be out of work for about ten minutes if the Twins fired him.

BTW - Please pay close attention to the Texas Rangers, Chicago White Sox ... very well led teams from the TOP down... Twins are second to them right now and will show on the standings soon enough. Gardenhire is a .520 manager and no better. His evidence of work is that and he shows no inclination to improve or learn and worse yet ... no, absolutely, NO motivational skills. Dare you prove me wrong!!

Good comment--but Cuddyer might be more comfortable in center field than third base if Span needs a rest, too, which, you're right, he does. Kubel and Young need to stay in the line-up, though. Kubel can come up with the big game and the big hit. Young, despite several mistakes, has been hot. Valencia needs to play, too. The Twins can't have assessed him so soon. The Mets are going to be tough, and the Twins are now tied for first place. One thing: the Twins play well in warm weather. It's going to be warm in New York.

Count the number of playoff wins and times this team even came close to advancing to the next round. Winning a bad division a bunch of times just means you are above mediocre. Quit settling for that and saying stuff like "at least we made the playoffs". Fact is fact- the Twins are not a great team and the lousy manager is one of the reasons that they will never get better.

Oh- and if what I just said doesn't convince you, then maybe his ridiculous assertion that we shouldn't move Young up in the lineup should. The reason Garden-fire won't make the move is because it would mean moving Cuddy Buddy down in the batting order. Can't do that though. The manager likes him and his feelings might get hurt. It's not about whay's best for the team- it's about keeping the manager's favorites like Punto and Cuddyer playing.

Gardenhire always has a different answer for the same issue, when he moved other players up in the lineup, he said "they earned it", now he says Delmon should stay where he's at because he doing so well...$#%$#^% He also said (when the Yankees kicked our tails) "we know we can play with them" looks like we can play with Milwaukee.

This move does absolutely nothing to help the Twins. They need to revamp their pitching, spend some $$$ and at the end of the season when they are sucking hind tit get rid of that bufoon Gardenhire. If this team wants to play with the "Big Guys" then start spending like them or you will end up with another disappointing season.........

you sit your third basemen valencia whos batting 302 and put cruddy (265) there to see him miss some easy plays, to which valencia would have made those plays... plus, its time for blackturd to be demoted to bull pen and put duensing into the rotation. this is the third outing where blackturd got shelled..

Bullheaded and STUPID! To even compare Young and AJ is moronic. It is down right idiotic! Delmon has much more power and a lot more speed. I see someone who does not like to be second guessed. I used to be a Gardy supporter but not anymore! This line-up has been shutout 4 times this year! You go with the hot bat unless you are Mauer or Morneau and I don't think Cuddyer is either of those. The Twins seem to take runs when they can get them rather than fight and scratch for them (ie...switch around the line-up or bunt more often!) Any level of ball will switch the order from time to time to keep a hot hitter going or create a spark for the guy moving down. This article should have read..........Gardy not OK with moving Cuddyer to the seven hole!
