Awesome...send out the prospects so we can win an additional meaningless game. Dumbest crap ever.

And the beat goes on. Acquiring a pitcher with a 3 and 4 won lost record and an almost 5 runs per game ERA is so very very sad. But that's what this stupid stupid franchise sees as a smart move. Don't we have enough Jamie Walker types on this team? Is there no end to this hell the O's fans must endure?

Hang in there sports fans, the season is coming to a meriful end. We get to do it again next year. Same players, same results.

Look, we always make these scrap pile type of moves. The O's collect journeymen, castoffs, and assorted duds.

I'll be impressed when we shell out $200,000 on a 16 year old Dominican kid with talent rather than blow bread on a guy who's more likely to be released at some point than make a solid contribution to the ballclub.

Yeah, he's 26, in the minors still, and has a 5+ era in the minors. There is not much else to know. He is not a prospect, just an extra arm for the O's. Stupid move overall as it doesn't matter whether we win or loss. We could win the rest of our games and not even come close to the playoffs.

I guess you clods haven't been following the games lately. The Orioles need actual warm bodies that are able to throw a baseball with some chance of getting a big league hitter out. The team is obligated to play a certain number of innings before the season ends, and they are literally running out of people to send out there. Obviously they're not looking to this guy to save the franchise - they're desperate. On a positive note, sure was great to see Jim Abbott; what a great story his career was ... hmmm, think he might have a few innings left in him?

So what's your point?! They may as well have promoted guys from AAA they already had.

If you read Baseball America, you see the Yankees, Red Sox, Mariners, and Giants sign top-notch talent. The only time the Orioles make moves is to add non-difference makers.

It doesn't matter if it's been Hemond, Thrift, or MacPhail, the team operates in the same manner from year to year.

The O's must have needed one or two more pitchers for the 10th annual parade of Oriole pitchers with potential led by owner (with zero potential as a winning owner) Peter Angelos. Let's hear it for Peter!!!

Let's see: 1st time pitching for O's last night Bass gives up 2 walks, 2 earned runs and a hit batsman in less than 2 innings. Do you know anything about him?

Who cares!! If we win or lose at this point, it doesn't matter!! What does an extra win or two or twenty do at this point?? Nothing!!

I've been telling you people since last year McPhail is a fraud. He has no clue on how to build a ball club. The Bowie boys should have been up here Aug. 1st. Guthrie is the only decent starter we have and McPhail is content to keep the prospects grinding it out at Norfolk nest year so they won't be "rushed". His whole off season will be about trading BRob.
