He wasn't supposed to be this effective, not at 39 and after his decidedly mediocre 2007. Full Story

I never really cared much for the guy and his attitude but I have to admit, he's been fantastic so far this year. After a poor start I really thought he was finished and should retire but he's been fantastic of late. Who would have believed he'd be tied for the league lead in wins 2 months into the season?
And Farnsworthless pitching a 1-2-3 inning! WOW, was that his first?
Congrats to Jeter on passing the Mick!

I was at the game and I didn't see the Yankees in any danger last night. So I really don't know what this article is saying. They always had the lead.

Although I hate the Yankees, you have to love what Moose is doing. If I was to tell you that Mike Mussina is 9-4 on June 5th, you thought I was crazy. Hard to believe this veteran who is 6 months shy of his 40th birthday, is having an unbelievable run. He's had a nice career, great W-L record 259-149 without the benefit of a 20 win season. The epitome of consistence not HOF but very good. Who knows maybe this could be the year he does win 20. It probably won't happen but hey you never know (sorry NY Lottery) I don't see Moose hanging on to get 300 at his age. Right now Yankees fans enjoy the ride because with your crappy bullpen except for Mo, enjoy the good times. before you know it Joba will be back as the 8th inning setup man. The Yankees are making a big mistake putting Joba as a starter. He would be the perfect 9th inning closer when Rivera does hang them up.

To Jim @AOL, well said on the article. Kyle Farnsworthless well sometimes the squirrel does grab an acorn when he does have a good outing. And on Jeter, it's pretty special when he can pass the Mick for base hits by a Yankee. By the time his career is over barring major injury, Jeets is going to be the all time hit leader in Bomber history. what I like about the Captain is that he doesn't have a big head unlike Low-Rod. He's so humble it's nauseating. You have to love him. can't wait when #2 goes up in Monument Park & a statue is erected also. By the way, how bout my Mets? 3 straight series wins, 7 of 10 overall hope they can win 3 of 4 in San Diego this weekend. JOSE JOSE JOSE. 1986 forever. Be well big guy.

What's truly nauseating was the comparison last year between Reyes & Jeter. Reyes is a pimple on Jeets arse.

And stop commenting on the Yanks. We don't need help from a team that's almost 25 years from its last WS win and 7 months removed from the worst regular season choke job in history.

HEY LOS METS. What about what happened to your team in 2004. You were up 3-nil against the hated BOsox & were 3 outs away from a sweep & what happens? The Sox beat you 4 straight. That's almost as bia a choke as my Mets choking away a 7 game lead with 17 to go. Yeah it was in the playoffs Yanks-Bosox, but I'll say that was a tank job big time.
