I think it's a smart move to bring Abreau back! They couldn't afford to lose another 100+ RBI man.

Smart move. Bobby is a good player and a class act. He will help the Yankees win the world series for sure.

Now that the Yanks have kept Abreu, what are they going to do with Melky, Johnny and Matsui? Girardi gets to inherit Torre's headache. They should've let Bobby go, saved 16 million dollars and put Matsui in rightfield.

Abreu resign was a no brainer, great arm in right and a class act guy! Injuries slowed him down at the start of last season, Melky plays center and left is a platoon between Matsui and Damon, Damon looked great out in left late in the season. So once Matsui recovers from knee surgery, Yanks should look to shop him as his trade value is greater. Just an idea!

Whatever happens, do not trade Melky!!! The kid has an arm, as he demonstrated time and again throughout this season when he threw runners out at the plate.

Sadly, Damon and Matsui both can't throw as well as Melky.

Melky stays, he's already better than Bernie was at his age. Wilson Bettimit can play third, and maybe playing daily will bring his BA back.
