Perhaps you might set your sights on going a bit beyond the easy stories that everyone prints.
For example, I get a little tired of reading about Torre's decision to bat ARod 8th, without the (IMHO) fair and balanced mention of Joe's decision to bat Giambi 7th against Pedro in 2003. The only two Giambi was hitting in front of were Enrique Wilson & Karin Garcia.

Joe batted ARod behind Cano, who only finished 3rd in the AL batting title race. Unlike Giambi, however, ARod didn't suck it up and prove Joe wrong. He just sucked.
