Since 1940 I've watched the Yankees get all the calls, all the breaks, all the luck in the universe. I think it's about time there is some payback to the "greatest sports legends of all time" for all the breaks they've been handed on a silver platter. It started with Babe Ruth, moving on to Roger Maris, and to A-Rod, and all the rest that the Yankees bought to get those Yankee killers off their backs and on to their own team.
Finally it looks like the year of payback and let's see if they are as noble at accepting some adversity, as they have been at accepting all the breaks, calls, and luck that has come their way.
Theeeeee Yankees LOSE. Theeeee Yankees LOSE.

Amen to that Al! Big deal, 1 outside pitch called a strike! As a baseball fan, I've seen many Yankees games where Mariano would get the benefit of the strike zone and seen many opposing batters complain over it. I did'nt hear Joe Torre thanking the umpires for all of those calls. As a Mets fan, I've been watching the Braves pitchers getting the wide strike zone now for 15 years thanks to Bobby Cox's constant harrassment of the umpires. Yankees have gotten more favorable calls and breaks from every conceivable source possible over their history especially in important games, that I find it very difficult to feel bad for them over a few regular season bad calls against them. The Yankees have always been like the spoiled rich kid who whines and cries whenever things don't go their way. Time to tough it out boys, just like every other major league team has to do, especially when they face you. Come on Joe, you've had a great run, take the bad with the good!
