No mention of Melky's waving to the bleacher bums and missing the ball in the first inning? Talk about yellow journalism.

I'm a Yankees fan and I think Melky has become bush. I had supported him for a long time but he is just good enough. For a centerfielder he needs to hit more HRs and have a better batting average. Last night proved he just is not very smart and that may be his problem.

Melky is a punk. Joe G should bench him. What was worse then last night's incident was Monday's, when he didn't run hard coming home and should have been out by 20 feet had the Twins 2nd baseman not made an errant throw.
The man on first was already past the 2nd baseman when he missed tagging him, yet still had plenty of time to get Melky coming from third. I would have thought Melky was hurt but I just wathced him leg out an infield hit in the same game. This guy is poison. Yanks need to ditch this guy, can't hit, is an average fielder at best, does have a good arm, and can't run the bases.

Exactly. There has got to be a much better more consistent hitter that can play outfield well. Melky sucks. Ship him out! He's had more than enough time. You can't be a playoff or championship team with a guy like that who's almost a sure out every time.

I think his poor attitide and lack of hustle was rubbing off on Cano earlier this year. Until Cano got back on track.

You would think a marginal talent like Melky would do all the hustling and intageables he could just to stay on the team. But this guy thinks he's Mickey not Melky. His bad attitude and lack of hustle should get him on the Pirates not the Yanks.

You mean the Mets, not the Pirates. He's a helluva defensive player and has the best arm in the outfield. As for all the moaning over "lack of HRs," I'd settle for timely hitting over solo HRs any day. Abreu did both last night, and it was swell.
