The young pitchers have great arms and brains. Just stop treating them like fine china and they will be fine.

i admire cashmans conviction to keep the kids, but eventually this will be cashmans downfall. the chance to get a rotation of santana,wang,pettitte,chamberl ain & kennedy instead of the rotation they got now is a chance they should have made. with santana you know what youre going to get, the best lefthander in the game today. the prospects are not the certainty that santana is. hughes could be great or he could be another mark prior. the yankees chose to travel a different path than their usual spend thrift path,whether it works out will remain to be seen
