I like the idea of having Richard in the rotation ahead of Colon. Colon is still a streaky pitcher. I don't like him being with the Sox because he never brings his "A" game to the Sox like he does with other teams he's pitched for.
If Freddy can pitch in the big leagues again, I'd rather see him in the rotation than Colon.

Ozzie and Cooper are the best at developing pitching talent in the AL, having developed Thornton, Carassco, Richard, Floyd, Contreras and Danks, all castoffs or draft unknowns. Personally, I consider Colon trade bait, not Richard.
Granted there were mistakes in overpaying Contreras and Vazquez.
